Default A MUST SEE Emaxx Crawler!

You guys should check out this Emaxx crawler by Gimbal! It is a nice piece of work. I purchased plans for $20. They come with a sticker sheet to help cut out all the aluminum parts. Definitely worth it since all the gueswork has been done.

Here is a pic....if it works:

Saw it in person at the last truck event here in Phoenix. He did a beautiful job on it. Not so much guess-work as some cool CAD design

I have not biult mine yet. I am still gathering my parts, etc.

He said the 2 speed is still functional and he uses it for a little bashing and crawling...although he says it's slow with the gearing.

roktoy- Can you tell us how it runs? It seems just like what I was looking for...something to crawl with and maybe let the daughter run it around when I am playing with Nitro.

Anyways, it just plain looks killer!

It worked pretty good. Lots of under axle clearance.

I think he found he could improve on his COG and link geometry for some of the trickier climbs.

Yes it is an Emaxx. There are a couple Terra Crusher parts on it though...mainly the steering knuckles, which is probably what you recognized.

The tranny, diffs and a couple other things are still Emaxx...the rest is all custom made.

You could use this kit and just gather the parts you needed off Ebay. It would be alot cheaper than buying and tearing apart an entire Emaxx. At least I have spare parts for my Tmaxx now!

Anyone need some Emaxx parts?!

I just want to thank Gimbal for answering all my questions!

I haven't had much time to do anything but cut out the chassis and axle pieces yet. I could only imagine how much time it would take to build something like this from scratch! 8O

Thanks again for the help!

Where can I get the plans for this kit. I am a CNC programer/machinest and can make a kit out of it.? I should talk to Gimbal to make shure he's cool with that. Any info would be cool. Thanks
