Cool Bumper finished

Man, its been a long ass time since i posted here ever since the site moved, but iv been pretty broke also so couldnt really work on my crawler, but last weekend i was looking around in my shop and i found some metal tubeing and figured i would make another Stinger but this one would be alot stonger, since its metal and my old one was aluminum. I like how it turned out and stuff but i think i need to bend a bit more, too straight, right now im looking into buying a 50's chevy body and another spool for front. sorry only got one pic at the moment iv been busy doing other things kinda more important right now got finals coming up soon.

I agree it does look a bit strait up and down, but if your were to lean it down it would take away some of youy approach angle.

i dig the sand pic looks like alot of fun ;)

it could but it also could maybe let me slide right on up the rock if you get what im saying, im not gonan bend it a whole lot just a tad bit more to make it look and work right. hehe thx for the compliment on the sand pic, its in our shop half concrete and half dirt and sand so we can play with our 1:1 trucks and 4wheelers and crawlers in the shop hehe.

yeah most stingers are laid forward more. but i found out at the GR comp, that a stinger is not always good. In one spot of my video you can see where i endoed at the end of a rock and was there for a bit. That is because that stinger slid right under the rock on the ground. i had to wiggle loose and eventually got back out. There were a few other times that i went to try a wall and the stinger would dig into the rock and stop me. My stinger is not that big and that may be the problem, but my next rig will not have a stinger again. They add to the looks, but it hurt me more than it helped. you can see in the pic, that it isn't even that big

It looked like your Rig was the only one that made it at all on that Section. Sure you got trapped but you didn't flip on your lid like everyone else? Maybe am wrong about thatClick the image to open in full size.

I flipped on my lid once comming off that section. The only others that made it and didn't roll(that i remember or at least seen) was the CX chassis truck(juggalo) and the Stick(JIA). There were a handful of times the stinger would dig into a rock and not let me up though.but i guess if your not in a comp though, it wouldn't be that crucial as you could reverse and try another line.I think a stinger looks good, if done right

I agree with Jeremy. My stinger was about twice as big as Jeremy's. I had to bend the hook on mine after having simmilar problems as Jeremy had. I was going to cut it off, but I just bent it up. I will cut it off and just make a tube bumper instead of the stinger.

i have a stiner and it dosent seem to hurt me at all... it really helps when going down really steep rocks because it keeps the truck from flipping forward onto its lid
