Hi,

My name is Andrea and i come from Italy. I'm new in this forum and i started a new Maxx Crawler Project called "Manolo". I have started from an old T-Maxx tranny case and axle, these are the first pics (made with Nokia 6600@640x480):

Looks Good! Clean work too! Good Job making that T-Tranny work for you. How long of a Wheelbase are you going for?

It looks good, but your not going to be able to use that tranny. It has an internal clutch, which is bad. You want direct power right from the motor to the tranny, but with that one, it needs to spin the clutch fast enough for it to engage. Try to get your hands on an e-maxx tranny, since it'll fit the same, but work tons better. But besides that, looks great. I am also gonna start a maxx crawler. Good luck! Oh, by the way, Italians rock! \m/

For Thumpin:

It's true, tmaxx tranny have 2 internal clutch, but i have locked it and tranny works equal than emaxx tranny, i don't know the ratio of emaxx tranny, the ratio of my tmaxx tranny is about 3:1

The thickness of the frame is 3mm, and the diameter of tubes is 6mm.

Wheelbase length??? I don't have any idea...i can make any length because i think to make myself the trasmission shaft, any suggestions????

OHHH! Thats clever right there! Hey, in that case, you think you could tell me how you lock it? I have a t-maxx tranny sitting around that would be nice to use for my crawler!

Lock the t-maxx tranny case is simple, there are two clutch to lock. The first is not a real clutch, its a bearing that force the gear to rotate in one only direction, in the other direction it slips. Just made 2 hole and lock it with screw at the other gear that not have this bearing (it is fixed directly to the primary shaft). The second clutch is the gear change clutch. Lock this clutch is simple like the first. Just lock the gear always with two screw at the metal wheel used for gear changing. Its a metal wheel that its linked with the gear changing arm linked with the servo. However, when i open it, i make some photos for you.

For Silvr:

I don't know the body that i gonna to use, for now i'm thinking at the frame

IMO, i would stay away from the savage shocks. You can get the same amount of travel out of a set of Maxx shocks if placement is right.

It's lookin good so far though
