nice truck, but i think the axles are overkill and they will kill clearance. If its for show and no go, then great. If you was just gonna make a SA, why use Maxx diffs and not just use TXT or some other type of SA, since the main reason behind using maxx axles is the extra clearance ya get

Beefy axles. I agree with Twisted, will hurt clearance.

Any work to the frame yet? I think I see it in the pic of the axle.

If you really want to go the 1/4 scale route, why the Hitec's? The Hobbico's are very reasonable and have 343 oz. in. torque @6V. Just a suggestion. By the way, it looks mean!

Thanks for the complements. I wish I had CNC equipment. Bummer ain't it?

I actually bought these axles from that guy on RCMT badhoopty. I believe they were water jetted. I thought they were cool so the fellah let em go.

Twisted, I could have used txt axles but you don't see many solid maxx based axles. These came with King Kong tires. They were just way too big for the scale factor on the frame I had. I agree, it could have more Axle gc. How big are LST tires? Maybe longer shocks to get that chassis in the air? When I get my frame in a few weeks I can mess with my lower shock mounts to get clearencs also.

WRMorrison, the hitec came with the axles. I would like a faster servo though.

ExtremeOffRoad, these are not polished so I don't mind a scratch or 2.

Here is the frame I have. It needs the tranny brackets. It's a brass tig welded frame I designed and had built.

Only 7" huh? I saw on Imex they have a softer compound k rock but says they are only 6.5" tall. I hope that's just the new compound tires. What's the biggest tire besides that ridiculous kong? I know Terra Crusher tires are 6.75"

LST's are, then the BFT's are a **** hair under those... other than the 7" tire, it goes to the kong tires

BTW- where did ya get the chrome knuckles and diff covers? or did they come with the axles?

Badhoopty, He had the upper and ower pieces water jet cut. They are actually 6 pieces on each axle.
Twisted, the knuckles came with the axles. I believe the diff cases are gpm or integy. Not sure on the knuckles, traxxas maybe? I think they got polished.

I imagine so. I've looked at GPM, Hardcore, Integy, Megatech and Powerline. Powerline is the closest. They have to be stripped and polished traxxas.
