Default (UPDATED-Done!)A new Twisted Creation is DONE!!!!!!

Well I am feeling better aftre surgery and decide to start building my buddy's maxx tuber. Still have ALOT more to do, but here is the start of it. it is brazed together using 3/16" brakeline. it will be geting a set of my axles like what i run, just with a little bigger twist to the axles will be ruuning 1 27t johnson motor w/ gd600, SR and a 3000 battery pack. 4ws w/ TQ3 modded

More to come as i update it

I agree with "MoabCrawler" all your creations end up flawless. Looks kinda lika a scorpion. Are those Revo axles. Do they fit in tmaxx difs?

Looks awesome man! I can't wait to get started on my next shafty. I'm not sure of the final design, but it's gonna be huge! X-factor axles, tuber, maybe those new JUMBO swamp dogs...

Thanks guys. this is about the only actual truck that i think looks decent so far that i have done. i think the rest look like crapm, but thats probably cause i know every single flaw in it :? .. this one im actually taking my time on and making sure everything is straight and even..probably cause its not mine yes those are Revo driveshafts. it used at stock length, they will give you a 17" WB. and work great with my last setup. this chassis is just about 18" long, so it should have great departure and approach angle. he is running LST's also

I basically ran the same drivetrain down at GR comp and didn't have one problem except for my servo mount breaking, and that will be changed in this design.

On my current axles, i use 1/4" solid rod for the axles, but will be using 5/16" solid rod. trying ot keep all the weight low. on the bottom side plates and very bottom, i will have pieces of Delruin to act as skidplates. so hopefully it does as god as i hope :? the brazing is a piece of cake. its just all the preparing and cleaning up thats the hard part

There wil also be a few more changes to this truck to see if a few ideas i have work or not. might aswell use a buddys' truck as the guniea pig

yes they fit. you just have to shave the nipple off the end of the shafts a little so the grub screw lines up. they both are for 6 mm shaft/input. after you grind those little nipples down, they are a direct bolt on

Good start! Hopefully we can all actually get together and crawl some more once he has a capable crawler!

I think I'm going to start collecting parts for a maxx crawler myself!

NOt sure what ya mean? earlier in this post? Nothing to be sorry about man.from what i seen you just asked if they was revo axles... I just answered your question, no biggie man, thats what a forum board is about i think you just said axles and i said driveshaft- owell

i use MIP CVD's for my axles though and the Revo's for my driveshafts. But thanks for the compliments. Everyone seems to like my trucks, but this is about the only ne so far that i have liked. I think its due to me knowing every flaw in the other trucks also. So far, this one has one and i came close to redoing it yesterday and Doug jumped on my about it. one little section is like 1/16" off and i wanted to redo it, grind it down adn re-braze it....

but more pics to come... i'll work on it some more today.

But have a few plans up my sleeve for this one on the suspension. hopefully they will work

back to the sweat shop
