I've searched a little, but haven't gotten definitive answers. What kind of runtimes can I expect on my e maxx once I get a gd600 and one lathe motor? Everything else will be stock e maxx, and I will be using 3000mah packs.

well you said you will be running packs. do not run 2 battery packs with one motor. Do the EVX mod i have written up. then do the one motor and battery. as for runtimes, what gearing are you gonna run? are you gonna stary with the stock gearing still? if so, i couldnt tell ya. when i ran a lathe with a 9 pinion and 72 spur gear, i got about 50 mins runtime on a 3000 battery pack. then i added a gd600 and switched to a 27t motor. the runtimes went up to 1 1/2 hrs. then.

Sweet, that's what I was hoping to hear. I just needed a ballpark figure. I can run it for like 10 minutes when I drive it fast and it's just not worth it. An hour and half run times will make this thing much cooler. Thanks for the input.

not a problem... running a lathe with the 600 will really be slow. now that i think about it though, you may just want to keep the stock gearing. that way you will have some wheelspeed still. you can always change gears later. have you already bought the gd600? if not, get ahold of Wally187 on this board. he sells them already turned down up to the bearing. Not sure if he has them back in stock yet or not though. but on installation of the gd600, if you shave off the little plastic edge that sticks out, you can mount that flush against the motor plate. that way you don't have to cut a bigger hole in your motor plate for it to fit. the bearing doesn't go all the way into that plastic piece, so you can trim it off/sand it down and not have to worry about it. i'll go snap a pic real quick of what im talking about for ya. it makes installation a snap. I also just used the existing hole sin the motor plate also. but you may need to redrill a hole, depends on where your mounting it. anyway, just thought i would throw this advice in also for ya, if not and you already knew it, nevermind the whole post then Last edited by TwistedCreations; 04-19-2005 at 07:52 AM.

Here is a pic of what i was talking about. i just shaved off that plastic piece so my pinion gear could go on farther. the GD600 shaft is turned down all the way up to the bearing. That way its a flush mount to teh tranny plate. plastic is easier to cut that the alum. motor plate
