Default emaxx crawler gearing

ok, so i assume most people that crawl with their emaxx rigs still use the stock 2 speed tranny. how drastically apart can i gear the truck? if i gear the low end low enough to crawl, how fast can i gear it to go in high gear?

thanks

most guys lock it in 1st gear which helps out a bunch. it gets rid of all that slop/roll. also, you can't change the gearing on the inside of the case. you can only change the pinion and spur gear. i run a 9 pinion and 72 spur and love it. but i don't have a 2nd gear, so i cant comment on it

i have the same gearing but i change from first to second all the time. i dont have the servo mounted for it. i just have a rubberband holding it either in or out. seems to work. sometimes you just need the second gear.
