Default Popping and Clicking from tranny

I just got my E-Maxx running the other day and under hard braking and when shifting I get clicking from the transmission. It doesnt act like its lost any parts and it doesnt skip or jump out of gear. Anybody know whats up?

Default just a guess

it's probably not coming from the transmission. since it's happening under braking (which is harder on parts than acceleration) my pick would be the diff cases spreading apart and allowing the ring & pinion to skip. look at your diffs. if there's a little bit of lube on the seam, then your cases are spreading. aluminum cases will fix that, but plan on spending 80 bucks for front & rear.

also check your diff bearings. a bad pinion bearing (6x12) or side bearing (10x15)will let the gears skip.

nothing on the diffs but the rear tranny-diff slider is looking a little twisted.

It might be the sound of the driveshaft untwisting under braking. I know my front shafts make a creaky noise when they're stressed.

my trans did that for awhile, i found when i took it apart i flipped a gear around and it started doing a clacking noise, i put the gear back in correctly and it was fine.
