I like the idea of a 2 link for simplicity. It also might give you some creative options for mounting things, or keeping a low cg. It can be tricky to keep a 2 link from binding though. Also, squat or anti squat may be a tough issue to deal with on a 2 link.

I've never seen a 2 link work without leaf springs. It's only half a suspension in my eyes.

2 links work really well (with some key mods) in the full size rock-crawler world. 66-77 broncos are pretty decent rockcrawlers. Radius arm type suspensions are used in lots of aftermarket kits for cherokees and grand cherokees. I guess it's really a three link since you need a track bar. I've seen some one link setups that work really well also.

If you think of the cherroke set up its very limited compared to a 4 link.

4 link is the only way to go, articulation, adjustment, strength, triangulation (no need for track bar), keeps steering geometry correct, can be used to rotate parts out of the way in suspension travel, many more benefits than the 2 link set up, if the 2 link has any benifets at all.

with only a 2 link with panhard bar(3 link) you will get alot of torque roll..just run a 4 link to help[ eliminate some of that problem

Just to clarify my position, I agree that a four link is superior. It will give more predictable launches, better handling, generally more flex, etc. That said, with the tight quarters of rc crawlers a 2 link might lend itself to some interesting design possibilites and ways to keep the cg down low, especially in shaft driven rigs.
