| hey, i just bought myself a used EMaxx that i want to try and build a somewhat capable IS crawler out of. DONT TELL ME TO LOCK OUT THE AXLES, i have a clod for solid axle fun. i just have a few questions: 1) What's the easiest way to get more travel out of the A-Arms? 2) What's the best way to narrow the chassis or should i make a custom TVP style chassis? 3) If i move the tranny forward, will a revo slider stretch from the tranny to the rear diff? 4) can i change the 1st and 2nd gear ratios individually, or is gearing all determined by the pinion/spur? thanks |

| I might be able to answer #1 & 4. take a pic of how they are mounted and I can help you, and I think it depends of the pinion and the spur gears. |

| i think your able to change them indivisually, actually you CAN for sure and make yourself a custom chassis, narrowing the stock one wouldnt be worth it IMO. the a=arms u can possibly trim down to make a little more travel off of them but i would also have to see how they are mounted and is the maxx u have the wide maxx or the narrowed maxx? hope this helped you some. | longer a-arms for more travel. I'd also stretch it to gain some wheelbase. That's the major setback of a stock maxx. |

| i think i'm gonna make a custom TVP chassis, move the tranny forward, and hopefully have a really low first gear, and a medium to high second gear for general bashing and whatnot. also Moabs fo sho! can someone give me the measurments on the "Wide-Maxx" set-up? mine measures 16" from the outside of the stock tires |

1) What's the easiest way to get more travel out of the A-Arms? you have to trim and cut some stuff out on the a-arms... PM Kevinlongisland and he can help ya 2) What's the best way to narrow the chassis or should i make a custom TVP style chassis? custom chassis 3) If i move the tranny forward, will a revo slider stretch from the tranny to the rear diff? depends, running revos with the trans in the center of the chassis- you will have a 16" WB...i have mine stretched to 17" and thats about it. yo may have to lengthen it 4) can i change the 1st and 2nd gear ratios individually, or is gearing all determined by the pinion/spur? cant change the internal gears of the trans. gearing is all due from the pinion/spur/reduction unit also, the wide version has 4 shock holes adj. on the lower a-arms. also the WMS-WMS is 13" (WMS= wheel mounting surface) Last edited by TwistedCreations; 05-11-2005 at 10:04 PM. | |

| Longer WB is definitely key to stop the wheelies, as cool as they are. I stretched the rear diff off the back and lowered the batteries. Here's a link to some more pics. Pics of I-MAXX my basher/crawler. Last edited by BENDER; 05-11-2005 at 11:39 PM. |
