This shows the servo mount and the shift lever for the 2 speed trans. It will also hold the servo to shift the locker in front also I hope. I haven't got that far yet.

Traxxas should built, with this one in mind. I used a 1/5 scale servo and it uses a 17 3/4'' wheel base. spool in the rear and locking diff up front. With the rear bumper added the body lay back without touching the ground, so it also serving two jobs. Last edited by twissted; 04-07-2015 at 11:36 AM. |

Are the traxxas metal cvd's in the yeti summit holding up good. Have you put them thru there paces. I'd imagine those 1/5 scale rims and tires would give them a work out. I want to get a set but not share if there as good as the more expensive mip ones. I can get those fairly cheap but what good is cheap if they break easily. Any info on them would help unless you haven't really tried them yet. Thanks in advance.

Ok thanks. I'm not ready not ready to upgrade yet but I will probably end up getting the MIP cvd's, It wouldn't hurt to hear an update on the traxxas cvd's once you get it going though.

I added a metal swivel so that a D-ring could be installed.

I used the D-ring to weigh the Buggy with my fish scale. With no batteries it came in at 15 pounds That is really good with five 1/5 scale bead lock wheels & tires!

It definitely looks a lot heavier than that. I have those same rims and tires on my losy 5t and they are very heavy tires and you have the 5th tire on there to so overall weigh is really not bad at all.

I took the foam out and cut a hole in the middle of the tread so that the tire is very soft. I may install the small foams in place of the large foams so that there is a little give on hard landing. But for slow crawling it is awesome as it is.
