Default Will Traxxas build a Summit XL???

Seeing the Yeti XL gets me thinking that to get people to compete with this class of rc that others will follow to get in on sales and also get a new fan base.
I see room for it and also think that the summit with a longer wheel base would be ideal. And hopefully a more scale body. I hope it happens.

The Axial fans my not like it but it would be for everyone in the long run. Mybe losi and HPI could get in on it as well. Christmas is comming and for some to just sell a longer chassis and drive lines and longer links as a kit would also work.

I would already consider the Summit an XL.
Traxxas can call it a 1/10 scale all day, but you know that's wrong the minute you see one in person.

I never could figure that one out either. Its HUGE next to an scx10. It even makes a wraith look small.

A Summit xl would probably turn out to be 1/6...

It is out of scale if think about it. Way to wide for the length of wheel base. Needs a longer chassis and a lighter more scale body.
It reminds me of the old Tonka Jeeps as a kid.

Axial Yeti XL needs a brother from another mother! And a longer chassis on the Summit would do it. Add a light weight scale body that is on par with the yeti and the race would be on!

Looks a little bigger than a smart car. Would probably be more powerful too.

This is the Leopard 2200kv 7074 motor that will be used in the build.
This motor mount has Zero flex and is just the ticket for long 40mm cans.

At the moment the wheel base is to long. I will shorten the front down to get the 18.5" that is needed.
The ESC is out of my Redcat XBE that I replaced with a Castle XL2 so that It runs on 6s and 8s. This esc will run on 6s but I will be running 4s on this build.

The summit is already XL. Thats the class the yeti XL falls in. Revo, summit, yeati xl, emaxx are all in the 1/8 scale electric class. I want to see a slash XL.

The revo and the summit are wide but are to short for the width that they have. There not scale because of this and that is what I'm changing in my build also it is something that the traxxas guys should look at.

The Yeti XL has a wheel base of 18.5. Revo and Summit should do the same.
