Hey great! You figured it out. Video looks great! It always made me nervous doing much fast driving with the big ol mud slingers on my big version summit. I broke soo many diffs. I would be extra nervous driving with a plus size summit and those heavy tires. I have my Mudslingers on my D8t truggy at the moment...much stronger diffs and lots of fun.
I am thoroughly loving my summit with the smaller tires ....and the confidence that goes along with it being able to take much more abuse now.

About a week ago I waterproofed my sensored brushless system with acrylic conformal coating. I've run the truck about ten times now in very wet conditions and everything is working great!
Heres a little clip of some mud running.

Thanks Twist. You have a thread on your build somewhere?

Nice thread! I have been thinking about getting rid of my e-maxx. Not now. Good find on the 2.2 17mm hex wheels.

Thanks Josh. They're not straight forward 2.2's though. They're 17mm 2.2/3.0 ShortCourse wheels. In order to fit 2.2 tires to these wheels you have to trim the inner tire bead(just a little). I snipped them with body scissors.

There are other 2.2/3.0 options besides these DE Racing SC wheels. Team Associated SC8 wheels are 17mm.....so are HPI Apache wheels.

I figured out that they were SC wheels after digging thru e-bay. Looks like a way to have more fun with a traxxas by turning it into a trail truck.

What does any of that have to do with Chainsaw's LT? On a side note, you keep repairing breaks like that and you're gonna have a franken-truck in no time.

Just ignore him, btw I really do like your build. I ran some 2.2xl on my slash 4x4 but it was just no good for crawling, this seems like it works a ton better. I'd build one if summits weren't so dang expensive to begin with

I want a set or 3! Sweet tires!
What foams did you use? are they firm or soft?

Stock foams. The tires are VERY squishy and soft rubber. The included foams seem perfect to me.

Thanks man. I love running it!! It's a blast, it's far more durable than my wraith , and with lockable diffs/2 speed tranny. Doesn't crawl quite as well as the Wraith, but it's not too far off. .....but it is better at everything else.
