Yeah, lots of 1/10 scale trucks modeled after passenger vehicles. If you're going to make a bigger scale platform, use a body of a vehicle that is physically larger than a standard passenger vehicle as well. That is I find disappointing with the Land Rover.

Traxxas likes licensing Fords, how about a F650?

I know it needs mass market appeal and whatever but I still want a Unimog.

Traxxas may have built us an SCX10 XL with remote locking diffs, 2 speed, portals. I'm in and I hope it's at least 1/8th scale.
Everyone around here is all into 1.55s now. I guess I could just use all those guys' trucks as trail obstacles.

Unimog, Pinguazer, Ural, Mann, or any other Cold War era military vehicle turned farm/commercial/civilian would be on my list if we're talking larger scale 1/10 to fit this potentially 1/8 scale chassis. F650 and that big Proline Chevy are brodozer rigs.

Seems to me the only people "worried" about this being too big are scale nerds... I say bring on the bigger trucks, I still want the Wraith XL damn it.

The potential for a big ass Unimog (or similar heavy duty vehicle) with portals and locking diffs is very much not disappointing.
I understand what you're saying but again, we're talking about the body which shouldn't be at the top of your deal breaker list. There were plenty that were disappointed in Axial's choice to do another Jeep or more specifically the XJ but there was no way that was going to stop me from getting the new 10.2 The body is literally the easiest thing to change with tons of options and opportunities to make it your own. I do like the Land Rover body but wish it was a D90. You can sell the RTR body and put the cash right back into the rig. I got $70 out of my XJ kit body with all its accessories. The second half of your statement is what people should be focusing on because thats what will make this truck fun regardless of what's sitting on the body posts.

2.2's, licensed body, locking diffs, called 1/10th scale for $449 RTR is my guess.

Wondering if Traxxas would have 2 bodies out there. One for the Euro market, and a ????? For the US. The rover is a common vehicle in Europe , could we see a early bronco here ??

Hopefully something else then a EB, imo is another beat to death rtr body choice. I got my rgt with it cause I thought there weren't many out there and bam like 5 show in the same week.

A Dodge body would be neat, or a Ford that hasn't been done to death. Or a lesser known jeep body like a full size grand Cherokee.

I guess the waiting to see what comes with game is on

The body is a bit dissapointing to me, seeing that their new Raptor and 4-Tec 2.0 Ford GT bodies look amazing. The roof rack and lights are a plus, the paint doesn't look good at all. The tires look decent for an RTR, albeit pretty big. Chassis looks great, I like the abundance of servos and the portal axles... Pretty excited for this

If it's worth sharing, I talked to a gentlman at Traxxas and he confired that's it's real, and everyone is super excited for it come out; which he said is expected to be sometime in spring before summer.
Can't wait to get my hands on one!

Default New Traxxas Scaler - Land Rover Defender 110

Licensing with Ford, I don't think a Raptor would work as a crawler , haven't seen many late broncos, just early.Time will tell and whet our appetites

I do love the Raptor and have a few for my slashes, and a modified crawler type for the yeti

Even though he plastered his name all over the pictures, they arent his.

I'm not a Land Rover fan or a super scale nerd, but I kinda like that body. Hopefully there is a more American option though. The early Bronco thing has been done enough IMO. The concept Bronco would be pretty cool if they are going to stick with Furd bodies.

You gotta love that. VP and the fanboys will be the first to bash China for stealing their designs yet Harley stole photos. It's no different. In the end it's stealing.
