| Re: New Traxxas Scaler - Land Rover Defender 110 Comparing Android to the iPhone is like comparing Windows to Mac OS. Android and Windows must work on hardware from countless manufacturers whereas iOS and Mac OS only have to work on hardware from the same manufacturer that makes the software (Apple). Good luck designing Android apps as stable as iOS apps. Hint - it's never going to happen. Just imagine if Castle tried to design software that worked on ESCs from Castle, HobbyKing, HobbyWing, Holmes, and Tekin... Technology is great, but with more technology comes more bugs. I'm sure Traxxas will send an update out as soon as they figure out a fix. Unless things have changed, Google Play does not require an intense approval process like that of Apple so it should go quickly. |

Finally got my TRX-4! I have driven a demo model a few times and couldn't wait to get my own. for those worried about the lack of diff grease i think they have fixed that. I'll check the trans later but after seeing the diffs I'm confident that the trans is good.[/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG] |

Are you going to use a few 2mm screws to reinforce the ShoeGoo/E6000 just in case or?

I go for the hardest stuff I can find though, I'm not going to get any better sticking to the easy parts of the trail and its not really fun for me unless its a challenge. The thing is the TRX-4 is so capable the challenging stuff I try is probably legitimately hard even for someone with more experience which is why I'm rolling the thing all the time lol. I am choosing the wrong approach angles and I noticed how I have the front tires oriented makes a huge difference. I have a series of vids in the scale video section where you can see all my mistakes and watch my poor control inputs lol. When I drive the TRX it feels like the center of gravity is biased towards the rear and higher than the chassis itself and I'm saying its because of the body and spare tire mounted on it. Feeling the chassis itself feels pretty even to me. All the videos in the world probably won't change my opinion on that even acknowledging that I'm a complete noob. Stick your hand inside the body and balance it with your index finger in the middle. Look at where your finger ends up to balance it.. that pretty much shows it and I'd wager its mostly because of the spare tire but also because there is just more body mass in the rear. Also I love this thing the TRX is a beast and I am talking about a bone stock TRX, its impressive regardless if it gets tippy on sidehills and after some mods I think it will be even better! It wouldn't take much to even it out and their is no reason to defend it without cause. Last edited by Mountainsofbeer; 07-03-2017 at 01:20 PM.
