I called the LHS to see when they were getting the TRX-4. They have no idea. They also said their distributor (Great Planes) told them that Traxxas wants to sell direct and not go through a distributor. Has anybody else heard this? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk |

Nope. I was told mine should be there this week. They were told 2 were coming for the first 2 preorders and a larger shipment will be coming in 2 weeks.

Yessir that's a fact. Traxxas eliminated the Great Plains Game, "special dealers get" and are all shipped directly from Texas. We just got them at my lhs , already rethinking not getting one, but I'm resisting so far . Really impressive first offering ! Hang up and Drive

| Re: Traxxas Scale Truck - how it will effect the RC world In that case the "Front Locked" setting would serve you better, because then the rear wheels could diff-out to prevent (or at least reduce) backflipping. That's also why I built my Tellurides with locked front diffs and open rear diffs -- though I did fill the rear diffs with 500K oil so they would only diff-out noticeably in low-speed/high-torque situations where backflipping is most likely.

If they saturate the market directly they make a profit , as I suspect price margin is tight on this, due to features and market Hang up and Drive |

I for one LOVE this new traxxas and I haven't even ordered it yet! I have two scc10's and each of my kids have one also, I also own a sawback and a bunch of Tamiya rigs. For me personally the two speed trans and servo controlled lockers is A+++! I don't mud my trucks but I scale mud them I suppose so having the lockable diffs and two speed will be perfect, factory installed inner fenders and chassis splash shields is another huge selling point. I like the selective lockers because I personally run locked rears in all my trucks and silly putty filled front diffs WHY because my 1:1 F350 i ibstalled a detroit locker in the rear after i burnt up the oem limited slip clutches, two years later i added an arb front air locker too. WHY you ask its not because i mud my f350 or rock crawl ot its because i was constantly needong 4wd to back trailers into muddy yards or job sites, when we go hunting I was getting stuck alpt in fields during the winter. After the rear Detroit I knew I wanted one In the front axle for that extra traction ibstead of spinning tires to the moon pulling a decoy loaded 14ft enclosed traiker through a musdy sbow covered fiels during goose season. Also I'm moving to Wyoming or Montana within the next five to six years and I want me truck set up and ready to live out in the mountains. Basically my rant is this new traxxas is going to fit me like a shadow with it's look function and factory options, I will say I'm feeling my scx10's will most likely be for sale when I receive this

Visited my LHS today - first time in awhile... Anywho they had one on display for people to drive around the parking lot. All I have to say is they're pretty awesome. They're selling real well too... I just need to clear some room to get one. Now which one to sell... wraith? Tekno SC truck? decisions, decisions, decisions. |
