Outside of the demo trucks, not sure anyone here has gotten one yet.

You might be right. I've been cruising through the Traxxas forum and there's a bunch of those guy's that have 'em, I posted the question there as well.

I think 1.55's are going to look stupid silly and that's IF they work. I'm not sure they will clear the portals without a lot of offset. Aren't the stock wheels 2.2?

Your name makes me think of the song "Spaceman" by Artificial Joy Club. That takes me way back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKtjk4Dp6z8 Last edited by JatoTheRipper; 05-31-2017 at 06:35 AM.

Here is a pic of Carterfab's truck running Vanquish wheels with .225 hubs and they clear the portals but not by much. A 1.55 is a lot smaller so I really doubt is would fit over the portal. Wide offset hubs would be needed and this truck doesn't need to be wider. |

The old VP wheels are stupid narrow and they look so out of place on this truck judging from this photo! With offset comes more leverage on the axle. The bearings are going to wear much faster and there's potential that this axle housing will break. 1.55's are probably a bad idea.

I've never heard that song or band, I'm a metal guy lol. I can't even remember why I named myself spaceman.... Anyway, I compared the wheelbase of the 1:1 and the TRX-4 and it's about 1/8th ish scale so 1.55 wheels would look a little small. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sounds like it would look perfect next to the Sawback since that's also closer to 1/8th or so. The stock tires are "only" 4.64" OD so they're not as big as I had thought.

I did something silly and read the manual. It says the minimum required inner diameter for wheels is 38 mm (1.5 inches). I can't think of a 1.55 wheel on the market with 1.5 inches of inner clearance. |

Meh.... those Thrashers are a bit on the small side Of what I would be interested in running, they're 3.67" and the Iroks i'm interested in are 4.4" and the oem's are 4.64"

| Re: TRX4 with 1.55"'s?? Even with that the wheel arches are huge. A 1.55" wheel will never look right on this body IMO. Not even with a huge 1.55" tire. Last edited by JatoTheRipper; 05-31-2017 at 09:20 AM. |

I think some 2.2s and a large 1.9 tire like the Hyrax would suit this rig well. Dontchyathink?

The 4.75" tires like the Hyrax are going to create a lot of body rub so they might be a little too big. We shall see...
