First crawl with the TRX4 6 Attachment(s) Took the truck out box stock yesterday. It was way more capable then I originally expected. The two speed worked flawless, the locking diffs are cool. Was interesting to try and crawl with them open or just the front locked before going full lock. The servo is weak, but what rtr servo isn't weak. The tires felt better than most rtr tires I have used. The portals made a big difference getting over some rocks. The drag brake in crawl mode is too high, but switching to high gear allows it to go down much smoother. Overall with a little tuning and some weight up front I think it will be a good competitor. Re: First crawl with the TRX4 nice photos thanks for the info on the drag brake. I wondered if it was going to be to much drag in crawl mode. mine did great in trail mode. |
Re: First crawl with the TRX4 Nice ! Just put a pack thru mine on 2s and was very happy with the purchase. I felt like the shocks are spot on and weight bias was equally good climbing and descending . I like that in a trail rig. Agreed on the servo. Like you said that's to be expected on a rtr servo. It would be fine if you didnt push the rig hard but you would be short changing yourself if you didnt push this thing. Great scaler right out of the box in my opinion!
