Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? ah-ha! good eye.. totally failed to notice he was still using the straight mount. |
Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? I like his battery tray more than stock though paint it black and good to go. Found out today my lhs has the 66 chevy body in stock gonna grab that for mine. |

Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? I'll post up better tonight - this was first test after some needed changes to the wheelbase. But this is the Proline G6 Dodge Ram Single cab. I'll also include the details of what I did and actual wheelbase I ended at. http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...pswoomparm.jpg |
Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? I got the body mounted then after laying a coat of paint on the bed I noticed this... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...19d53789a4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...34f64a6591.jpg |

Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? Thin spot ,,patch it with shoe goop on inside ,, |
Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? Add some drywall tape to that goop. It'll make it stronger. Five bucks will get you enough to patch every truck body you'll ever own. FibaTape 150 ft. White Self-Adhesive Drywall Joint Tape FDW8247-U-FDW8247-U - The Home Depot |
Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? shoo goo 100% works a treat and then rock armour on the outside and colour code it |
Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? 5 Attachment(s) From all the other 66 C 10 bodies added to the TRX-4 I have mounted mine a little higher ,,not by choice ,, It had something about the rear body post mounting part that comes in the parts bad ,The stock mount didn't line up I have since seen a vid where it can be turned and lines of with the raised box on top of the bed for shock towers my guess, So what am getting at is the rock sliders mounted in the stock location were 1/2' lower than body and I wanted to use the grove in the slider to hold the body,, Here's what I came up with . |
Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? Looks great with the sliders raised. When you said you had to mount it higher than the others I was thinking blahhhh. Then seen the pics and looks better than the others. |
Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? Here's mine with the body off of my SCX-10. Shortened the rear links and trimmed the frame rails a bit in the rear. Just first steps here, lots more to add. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4324-64250.jpg |
Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? Took the Bug out to the local Blackfoot RC Park here in Calgary. It's great with the TRX4 chassis under it. The shorter wheelbase allowed me to get around some of the tighter corners more easily and the lighter body meant it didn't roll nearly as easily as is did with the Defender body on it. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...4324-64256.jpg |
Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? What's the wheelbase on the bug body? |
Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? I've got the chassis set to bang on 315 mm which is about 12 3/8". That's about perfect for this body. |
Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? Just picked up a roller TRX4 and looking for body. Has anyone tried the Proline Dodge RAM 1500 body on? Another one I am considering is the proline hilux body. Quote:

Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? I used Axial links because I had them. 106mm for the upper rear and 98mm for the lower rear. I didn't change the front at all. |
Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? Oh, and I also shortened the rear drive shaft a bit. |
Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? Has somebody tried the cherokee hard body with 313 WB? |
Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? Has anyone tried the proline Jeep Rubicon body? Thinking of picking one up |
