Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? I finished my TRX-4 kit with an Axial Honcho cab and cage. I was able to keep the fenders after some trimming. I only had to take the corners off the front fenders. The back required a notch to let the cage sit low enough. After I removed the rear body posts, I cut holes for the shock mounts to poke through the tray and replaced the cross brace which is fastened with split pins - I think it worked quite well! I also had to remove the battery tray and use a short pack in the front battery location. The body colour is a full can of PS-43 Translucent Orange backed with some PS-41 Bright Silver which gives it a metallic look. I added the black stripes to give some extra detail. The tray is PS-5 Black with PS-55 Flat Clear for a matt finish. <a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/ormondoxenham/44158712225/in/datetaken-public/" title="IMG_0200"><img src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1968/44158712225_d253c98684_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="IMG_0200"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/ormondoxenham/31197038198/in/datetaken-public/" title="IMG_0197"><img src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1921/31197038198_ec3c1db7f8_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="IMG_0197"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/ormondoxenham/43257445880/in/datetaken-public/" title="IMG_0189"><img src="https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1969/43257445880_879edf07ce_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="IMG_0189"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? Just finished up fitting and painting this Ford Body. I was going to do a yota body but there's more of those than these and it would have been predictable since I DD a Tacoma. Always liked the old Fords anyways. I Raised the sliders and bumped the wheelbase out to a perfect 13 inches. Flipped rear bumper mount and did a comp cut variation to tuck rear bumper into body. Limited front suspension travel a little which seemed to help with stability while flexing up an obstacle alot. Going to add a small stinger up front and then start working on a battery relocation http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/...psaszssyen.jpg http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/...psl5quidca.jpg http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/...psdve4fcnk.jpg http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8x2dw8za.jpg http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/...psucpdeyis.jpg |

Re: what other bodies have you guys been running? Here is my take on proline jeep body, I really like it much more with smaller tires. These are class1 4.19 hyrax 36mm wide. I measured the scale of this proline body and it is around 9.1:1 .So those tires would be somethong like 38"x13" on the real stuff. https://www.rcportal.sk/public/album.../model8912.jpg https://www.rcportal.sk/public/galer...l_gal53537.jpg https://www.rcportal.sk/public/galer...l_gal53538.jpg https://www.rcportal.sk/public/galer...l_gal53540.jpg |
