Interesting discovery when I was comparing my SCXII and TRX4. My new SSD bumpers fit on the TRX4 chassis and looks perfect with the body. Another interesting find is the square Traxxas bumper mounts fit all popular "Axial" style bumpers. Now I gotta buy another set of bumpers. Endless possibilities. |

| Re: TRX4 Mods Have you lifted the body up, or is it not fully in place? I was wondering how a body lift would do, but I do really like having the wheel wells nice and tight. Last edited by HumboldtEF; 06-30-2017 at 07:20 PM. |

| Re: TRX4 Mods The body mounts are set for a different body but the stock body is at the normal height. The bumper fits perfectly right at the bottom of the body.

Another simple mod, snorkel dress up using a crawler innovations sticker and an old speaker grill. Sticker One old speaker grill that I've repurposed once already I used scissors to cut the shape out which was much cleaner than a Dremel, no filing needed. On the raw metal edge I used permanent marker to color it in. CA wood glue (non whiting) I put a dab in a little plastic container and used a skewer to apply a tiny bit on each corner once I had it lined up. Its just glued to the sticker (hopefully lol) I tried to make it smaller than the end of the snorkel so its inset all around, hopefully it wont cut me. I used an extra the stub axle from the front of a Yeti. Also I'm not sure how this is normally done so there might be a legit way to do this but this is what I did. It feels very secure it would take an unreasonable amount of force to pull the wide end of that through the hole. I would expect body post interference with a larger tire, maybe not enough to keep the posts from going through the holes but you'd have a hell of a time putting the clips through. But I see no reason why you can't have your large tires on the ground and a smaller tire like this as a spare. (Just don't actually use it! At least with the diffs locked you should not have different sized tires on a 4wd truck) The fender brace is no longer flush with the body but with the tire on the other side its still feels supported and the brace is still..bracing. Could you please upload one or two more photos where the car can be seen completely? From the front or one side? I would really appreciate it

So uh there's fake exhaust smoke systems, but when will someone make a fake oil-pissing system with matching scale metal pan? I want the full Land Rover experience. I bet someone can make a 3D printable little plastic bottle mount that you can fill with mineral oil and food coloring to make it look like its leak oil from one. |

I like to modify stock parts. I cut up a stock brick tray and made a battery mount out of it. It's a lowboy as it drops over 60% of the battery weight below the previous location. It required a lot of cutting n test fitting to get just right. The battery now sits lower than any front mount I could think of making. |

No doubt the spare tire on the back looks great, but it's too much weight in the wrong place. Even putting the spare tire on the hood would've been better than putting it on the rear bumper.

Totally agree, I removed it and covered a foam tire insert for a lightweight replacement. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I want to upgrade to a brushless ESC & motor. I have a Fuze 3900kv motor and 130amp ESC out of a Losi Ten Rally X. The motor is 4 pole and sensorless and could be a bit coggy in the Losi at slow speed, but if I drop down to a 9 tooth pinion do you reckon I could get away it in the TRX4. I run 2s and I am not looking for crazy top speed. Do you think I will loose low speed control with this set up. BTW what shaft diameter and pinion size is on the stock brushed motor? Cheers, Nick
