Nice! I have a full set of these on order. Looks like MFR is currently in the process of manufacturing another batch so it will be a bit until I get mine. Keep us posted as to how they work out for you and how much of a difference you noticed with or without them.

Hey Bob, I'm getting ready to start my last run of these weights (just to much work) and I haven't received my cover set yet. So was just wondering if you had to massage the inside of the weights to get them to fit the new cover?

Hey KMS, I took the time to put together a set of foams for you. I tried one in a TRX4 tire, and I pretty sure your going to like them! They should be a good 8-10# foam.
Ernie

PS: for Nate, I got a smaller hole saw for the ID of the closed cell foam.

I wish my wheel clearance wasn't so tight, I'm tempted to get a set of your knuckle weights if you do another run, but I'd need to shave them down to get them to work with the wheels I've chosen. I basically have no clearance to the portals.

Nice work!

These are what I'm using, fitment is great for weights and Portals. And the cost isn't bad either.

Glad you got them, but for those wondering, I'm not going to get into the foam business, We already have a great vender for that. These were just something I took a little time to do for a friend.
Ernie.

PS: But I did just order brass to do another run of TRX-4 knuckle weights. And for those waiting for weights from the run I'm just finishing up they will be ready to ship Monday. All are spoken for.

EDIT: I also just now noticed that someone did me a huge solid and either purchased or pulled some strings for a star for me! Whoever you are you rock! Thank you for that!

The weights most definitely make a positive difference. Whoever gets a set is lucky, Myself included! Thanks for taking the time and effort to make these for everyone Ernie!

I've got some rolled lead that would wrap around that space and fit in there like that. Won't look as nice but will work fine. its very malleable easy to shape and cheap. I don't care about the looks since its not visible.

Previously I have run this material along the rear axle housing above the mounts and used mini zip ties. Again of really visible and keeps the weight off the wheels. I'm really against weighting wheels as the rotating mass is so bad for the drivetrain and throttle response.

Thanks for the idea.

Ok guys, you won't let a old man rest, I ordered more brass, but I'm still on a run to run bases. When they start becoming work to build instead of fun I will back out. I have a friend that is checking into one his friends small shop to see if he would be willing to take on some of the machining and what the cost would be. Stay tuned!
And CRAWLER75 you are are at the top of the next run.
