Default Shorting the wheelbase?

I am trying to shorten the wheelbase to 11.4" for the mighty fc keep body but it seems like a lot to shorten the rear links. If I shorten the front it will change all the geometry for steering ect.

I looks to me like you could possibly take the front shock tower/servo mount and move it back on the frame rail after you drill new holes for it. You might get 3/8" to 1/2" if it works. It will make accessing the motor a pain though. But maybe you can just shrink it a little up front and a little in the back and keep your geometry.
If you have the means make a custom servo mount to put it where you want it.

I don't think you'll be getting this truck down to 11.4" without major work. Like lots of cutting and drilling.

revo pushrods in the rear, revo ends on the stock front arms, trimming both driveshafts, cutting off the back of the floorpans, flip sliders left to right and vice versa.

if you want to keep the inner fenders, that requires a bit more work

but it's very doable. mine is at 300mm for my cherokee body, and i didn't touch the front links/driveshaft at all

Hey brother, looking into shortening my defender WB from 12.8" to around 12". Did you do this just by changing the rear links? If so what links did you use?

If you need links you could use one of Harley’s ways of making links

I am gonna give it a try. Just bought the stuff tonight at Home Depot.

Or you can buy 4 sets of these and make any wheelbase you need.

I was thinking about making my own links. I don't see it being all that hard to do. Just didn't know if there were links that someone had found that work out right. Once you buy everything to make your own. You're pretty close to the cost of most of the ones you can buy. Just saves some time. I don't always get a bunch of tinker time. I will make some if that's my best option tho. Thanks for the advise

ya'll shortening them up and I extended mine to 13" on the dot
lol. At the last event everyone was amazed at the climbs I was doing. Only a couple people made it up them. I raised my sliders 1/2 inch to make them even with the center skid so the breakover isn't bad at all. Flat bellying it soon anyways. Sorry for rambling, you could easily shorten up the rear links and driveshaft to get to your desired wheelbase though. Cut stock links to desired length and re-thread them. You can easily shorten the rear driveshaft as well and modify the battery tray
