My 2.2 TRX-4 Here are some pics of my TRX-4 on 2.2 rc4wd Raceline wheels and ProLine 2.2 BFG All-terrain TA Ko2's. I added ProLine' s Ultra 105mm shocks to get some clearance and added and waterproofed a Savox 1230sg to turn the big wheels. I had to flip the bumpers and loft the body to help clear, then added screw on type hold downs because I needed a little more thread at the rear posts to fit. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...cf58c18e98.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6bd5e48db7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bbcb2487e1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f1bd030d2b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e461d556b4.jpg Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk |
Re: My 2.2 TRX-4 Question, do the 2.2's conflict with any "scale" aspects of the rig? What I mean is, by adding 2.2's, is it not "scale" anymore? |
Re: My 2.2 TRX-4 Yeah personally I think they look far to big. Even the stock tyres whilst great are a little large. |
Re: My 2.2 TRX-4 Looks perfect to me. Like he's running 48s and a scale based tire. Nice combo |
Yea there are worse 2.2s to use than those it looks ok. I wouldn't like driving it so tall because it would make sidehills and tipovers easier BUT The shocks are cool not many people have changed shocks yet and he's getting more down travel? So the shocks are limiting travel in the TRX-4 before anything else? I have a friend who has one of these Defenders, cost like $80,000 total purchase and restore to be as nice as it could be. Looks just like the red TRX but without the Puma hood. The second I take mine on some rocks its not scale because stateside these things are so expensive I doubt anyone takes a good condition model off road at all lol. I was thinking that we need to figure out how to have those two air vents open under the windshield. I can cut out the vents in the Lexan but then how to get it to stay in open position and look good.. kinda ot. I had stretched 1.9 tires on the 2.2's and liked the look but it tore the inner sidewalls after crawling. Might try it again with a different mounting technique and see what happens. I have lost some stability with the 2.2's because the height, but I do plan on adding weight to the wheels and bringing down the body some to get lower CG. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...486db7d961.jpg Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk |
Re: My 2.2 TRX-4 it really does look like your getting a lot more movement out of that axle "thumbsup" |
Re: My 2.2 TRX-4 Non flex shots would help. It's not always Friday. |
Re: My 2.2 TRX-4 Just lowered down the body and trimmed the front of the body slightly to clear the tires and now it's much better. Still a little top heavy but if I weight the wheels it should get me close to the side stability when it was stock. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c843dc44fc.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7ed4dd1e17.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c00d14ad4c.jpg Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk |
Re: My 2.2 TRX-4 That's some amazing sidehill ability! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...07561c9488.jpg Just playin around I really like the way you've set this up, and your tire choice. Cool you lowered the body down a little too. |
Re: My 2.2 TRX-4 Lowered body is much better. I like it. |
