Yeah, I find that a bit pedantic BUT, they are the ones footing the bill and putting on the get together so they are allowed to make the rules. I plan to build an Axial 'based' truck so I can go to one if one ever shows up near me.

That's probably part of the issue. I'll keep that in mind from now on!

Awesome! Sweet looking bikes. Post photos of it in the motorcycle thread if you haven't already.

I for one loved the portals on my R1.
The clearance and gearing were the best of the truck

Been lurking this post for a little and I gotta say I'm so glad I'm not a "hardcore crawler". Specifically on the topic of the trx4 and its legitimacy. For one I do own the trx4 along with many other rcs and have been in the hobby since the 90s.

I realize I'm in a crawler forum and mostly in the yeti xl side and I don't speak for everyone here but the crawler scene is filled with the most arrogant people in the hobby. I've worked at a few shops and proud is an understatement on how these guys feel about their rigs. I've raced 8th scale on road which I loved with some engines alone running almost a grand each let alone the equipment to run one and still wasn't as proud as they are.

To get to to my point I'm very satisfied with the trx4 and who knows if I were more serious into crawling I'd prob have another rig specifically for that but traxxas nailed and all around crawler that caters to a wider audience.

There are people in many hobbies that way. Don't sweat it, it's a hobby to have fun in

And I agree on the TRX, there are a lot of things that are costly extras on most other trucks. Good if you want them, not so much if you don't. But then again if you don't there are better trucks for that which is perfectly all right

Well to be honest, if he is watching the 'New Posts' feature he is in all the forums at the same time...

even still, the forum each thread is listed in is posted on the right side of the page.

I see new posts on the Gmade and Wraith forums, but I don't post in them because I'm not interested in them. It's really easy to do.

Same here. I don't find the Vaterra Ascender particularly interesting and have my own opinions as to why. But it's a popular model and I don't post over there because I figure those that are there don't want to hear why I don't like it, and certainly not in an off topic manner inside another thread.

Nothing wrong with expressing an opinion, as long as it's done in the proper context and without being inflammatory. But anyway back on topic, it will be interesting to see how the lawsuit plays out.

I agree that Traxxas will win. They still have the most desirable brand in all of RC.

Hobbico has reportedly had financial issues for a while now. I would not be shocked if they had to do some restructuring, but losing Traxxas, alone, did not cause it.

Default Tower Hobbies is canceling backorders for TRX-4

Didn't mean to infer that. Poor management decisions, economy and the internet have destroyed many older business models , Traxxas are direct to my LHS now, better service, not more $$$ though

The lawsuit is interesting though
