I am not very good at condolence messages, but a loss like that is something that would probably tear me up something bad. I hope more then anything you have support in your time of loss to help carry you though this time.

Thanks again guys, I love the technical and emotional support hereJust thought I'd give a quick update. The Blubird on the rear locker has sold the ghost after 2 packs. Sub micro ain't gonna cut it IMO. The 3800kv is very friendly to drive with 9T pinion, punch control at 70%, custom throttle curve, and some self discipline on the trigger. Front diff works better than it ever has with HumboldtEF's cable mod. Hopefully I can get up a few pics later today and quick vid of it in first and second gear so y'all can get an idea about the speeds with this set up. I know the Micro x is enjoying it's retirement

I have actually found something to rival my loathing for the servos on this thing, and I don't think I'm alone. Being a rusty "newcomer"with a Gen 1 truck,I dutifully paid my $20 and began studying this forum before purchasing this unit. That said, my first stop after the first pack was a trip under the spur cover. Sure enough, the mesh was too tight and only half the pinion was engaging the spur;easy fix(I thought). A few packs later, while menacing the the ill tempered stray cur,the Titan knocked the top of the teeth off the spur. Here's the moral of this monotonous story. This motor plate sucks. It's either too damn tight or too damn loose. 9,10,or 11T. Help me petition Codyboy or another talented machinist on this site to build us an alloy motor plate .

Edit:No,that's not the original spur:about to install #3. Luckily I had the motor temp cutoff at 140 and the fan still on the Max(it hasn't taken a swim yet) as I have been doing test hits around the compound and learning the temperament of this beast

Thank you very much, sir Edit: Be nice if they had a picture. I want one with elongated slots like the big kids use, not preset holes. Even at my level of incompetence, properly setting gear lash is within my grasp

Problem with the alloy motor plate is they are based on the stocker. We need a Motorplate that has sliders so we can adjust our motor precisely as all trucks have variations. Maybe something with a cammed round motor mount similar to how the old losi XX4 and XXX4 worked... and it needs to mount in wobble free.

Hot Racing also has a alloy motor mount but they are all designed like the original.
