Default TRX4 Winch Fitment

Can anyone tell me or show me what winches fit on the TRX4 in either the stock bumper or even aftermarket bumpers?

In terms of scale I want a Warn.

RC4WD S1079 or S1571 or E0075. I have not been able to find anything or any pics showing fitment, what was requried to make it fit.

Also any pics of fairleads also.

I'll update with pictures later, but I mounted the Warn winch last night on the stock bumper. To get it to fit right I had to remove the plastic fail lead and mount the winch directly to the bumper without the plate. You will need longer 2mm screws.

Also RC4WD lists the 1/8 scale E0069 as being able to fit on the TRX4 as well.

Traxxas TRX-4

Would love to see hows these all fit. I like the Zeon series. The 1/8th scale one peaks my interest since it can pull a little more and is cheaper than the E0075.

E0069 1/8 Zeon pulls 12 lbs from a deadlift. 18 lbs rolling drag.
E0075 8274 1/10 winch pulls 25 lbs from a deadlift. 37lbs rolling drag.
S1571 1/10 Mini winch pulls 6.6lbs from deadlift. 9 lbs rolling drag.
S1079 1/10 winch 6.6lbs from deadlift. 9 lbs rolling drag.

Yes I know there are others that pull far more but I want that Scale look with the Warn winch.

What RC4WD lists as fitting doesn't mean anything the winches are universal so they say they fit all.

Dang it. I wish someone just owned all 4 winches and could show each one and how it sits in the bumper. Life is hard.

I really want the Warn Zeon 1/8th scale to fit...

I like the Zeon series and I like the 1/8 scale winch cause it has a little more jam than the other 1/10 Zeons

I want the Warn Zeon series for looks. This is why I want the 1/8 scale one. Little more jam than the others with exception of the 8274.

Fitted the Warn 1/8 Zeon Winch to a RC4WD Steel Bumper. Had to cut the top piece in order to get the winch to fit properly.

Awesome! Is there anyway for you to confirm if it is possible to fit the 1/8 warn winch one on the stock bumper with only a little/minor modification? Beautiful TRX4 btw.

I can tell you for a fact that the 9.5CTI warn winch fits just fine on the stock bumper. The only thing you have do is drill the holes in the bumper using the provided mounting plate. The mounting plate doesn't fit so well but you can use it as a template to drill the holes and then mount the winch on the bumper without the plate. I'll see if I can upload a pic later.

I don't think the 1/8 will fit on the stock bumper without some major modding. You have to drill 4 holes in the bottom of the stock plastic for the mounting plate. You cant mount the plate first and then try mount the winch to it as those screws go in from the bottom too.
I tried but it was a helluva lot easier to mod the rc4wd bumper, it has an access plate on the bottom that makes it very easy to work with. I just would have been better off getting the proper bumper for the winch i bought with zero mods, oh well

Switched to a front bumper that is a much better fit for the 1/8 Warn Zeon 10 Winch, direct bolt on and a bit beefier than the previous one. Feel better that the winch is a lot more proceed now in the event of a nose dive.
RC4WD Part # Z-S0434

I just installed the RC4WD 9.5 Warn winch on the stock bumper. I trimmed off the plastic fair lead and used the base plate as a drill template. The stock bumper is just temporary until the after market comes out with a decent replacement.

I liek the bumper but I do not like how it leaves part of the body corner exposed to damage on odd approaches. The stock bumper will stay till I find a good one.
