gear ratios for new trailmaster

just got the ESC and motor. esc is ble pro. the motor is a trail master bl 540 sport 3300kv. I run on 3s for the most part. I was going to try 10 tooth pinion. manual says B on the motor mount. gear mesh seems loose. maybe i should go buy a 9 tooth. thanks"thumbsup"

That traxxas gear ratio chart is wrong, I went one hole tighter and it was perfect. Stock ratio with a castle slate 2850kv.

I also have 10t and 9t pinions I want to try out. You mean to say that on a 10T pinion just keep the motor on the C mounting holes?

Also on a side note...
How did the truck change with the slate 2850? do you still have the low speed precision from the stock brushed motor? is the more or less wheel speed comparing the stock and castle motors on 3S?

Easiest way for me was to check by holding the motor mount in and as square as can be to the chassis so the pinion/spur mesh feels good.

Can't compare the slate motor to stock motor as I never ran it. Slate motor is awesome though, low speed resolution and torque for 2nd gear. Never got past room temps either after lots of full throttle runs in the sand

Yes on the low speed precision and WAY more wheelspeed/wheelspin with the 2850 lol. Gonna drop a 9T in mine today and see how she likes it
