| I Love it
Just got my TRX4 yesterday and had it running all afternoon and into the darkness, with a short dinner break. My nephew started the night driving idea, with no lights. So we zip ties two flash lights to the RC's and went driving. He has a 2wd slash and put the flashlight inside the body. I zipped mine to the roof rack and it worked great. lol It was crazy. I love the truck but see what I need to add to get the max potential out of it. Wheel weights! and a light bar! lol. will post up the video when I get the link, most likely tomorrow. |

I love mine, If I can keep the shifting servo in it. Second day out it was hot enough to cook an egg. Waiting on traxxas to mail one out.

Yep, it's a wonderful truck to use and look at. As already said, traxxas jumped in the deep end considering the competition but they came out on top with the trx4. And being traxxas parts and hop-ups should be as big as Axial (well hope so ) Looks great though as do they all |

I need a tool kit. I have a SLash 4x4, TRX-4 and La Trax. I need allen wrenches for the tiny screws. What is a good kit to get?

got the unpainted steel wheels in today, waiting in the tires! I liked and was going to buy the aluminum but the heavy steel wheels are a huge plus. Last edited by 100MPG; 09-13-2017 at 03:50 PM. |

| Re: I Love it This. MIP = End of discussion on "what's the best hex tools for RC" The hardest working $40 you'll ever spend in this hobby: http://www.miponline.com/store/mip9512.html ^That set should see you in good shape for every bit of hardware on this truck (same for my Vaterra ascender). I have both the insert bits (linked above) and the ones with the handles. The insert bits get more use because they pair well with a low power driver (faster than wrenching by hand, but watch the torque when screwing back in) or a cheap hex bit screw driver. Got the MFR portal covers for the front AND the C knuckles! I also bought the traxxas 8030(?) light kit. The light kit took about 2-3 times longer to install then the MFR items! But, it looks great and only tried it out for a very short time. Last edited by 100MPG; 10-15-2017 at 05:08 AM. |

I agree about the love. I've been a racer for decades. Typical racer getting into it for awhile...getting out. I was literally the first person in South Carolina to purchase the trx-4. SO I took this thing to some hiking trails......it was fun. Nothing major. After about an hour and a half it hit me. I fell in love and this TRX-4 changed my philosophy on R/C. I will race my VTA a bit but crawling is just more fun for me. Love this truck! My first trail rig.

note-the kit only comes with one light bar, I bought the top light bar first then decided on splurging on the traxxas kit.
