Got it back 5 days ago from traxxas after esc fried last month. They only took 5 daus I didn't ship immediately. Anyhow in video plugging the battery in causes a ¿jolt? of power, the light near receiver is green, and nothing happens when hitting the power on button on esc. Nothing works and only thing that does happen is energy burst for half a second as soon as battery is plugged up.

Did you try to bind TX/rx again.
Did you calibrate ESC?
This would be my first try.

And make sure your battery is charged properly, and proper mode is set lipo/nimh

if you plug it in and everything powers up, it sounds like the button on the esc id screwed up... or the esc is fried.

Seriously, don't futz around with the stock ESC if it's causing problems.

I'd rebind and if it's not arming or even starting up (not great news), get the HW WP 80 and be done. It's a better ESC period and very affordable.

Thanks guys. No time to mess with it but I'm just going to throw the mamba x I have in there. Possibly the hh puller pro 2200 from one of my 10.2s as well. I can't can't that combo warmer than them outside temp no matter how hard I run and watching the temp on stock setup got old quick

It isn't powering up. Soon as I plug it in without touching anything it does a quick jolt of power and you hear some servos twists for half a second and then it won't do anything and no light on the ESC. The light at the receiver shows green through the box though.

remove connections of all servos from your receiver, except the one to the ESC
power it on again.
does it work?
if yes, then its one servo shorting out and causing the BEC to overload and hence switching off. then you slowly figure out which servo it is.

if no, and problem persists, its the ESC.

It's the ESC Irregardless, on a proper working TRX-4 esc you can plug and unplug a battery all day long and nothing happens. His esc sends power to the receiver and servos the moment he plugs the battery in. Something is bypassing the power switch or some other issue in the ESC. Unplugging servos is not going to change that.
