The only thing that body needs now is a hardwood box liner like a lot of old chevs out there. I just unboxed my TRX4 this past weekend. The smell of a new RC out of the box is just like new car smell to me. This will be my first electric 1/10 scale truck. Previously run all nitro but after watching a crawling video I knew what I'd been missing. I have a 1/18 D90 I've done a bunch of work to but can't wait to get elbows deep into this. Nice build can't wait to see what it looks like when you finally decide it's just the way you want it.

....and another option. Just received GMade's 1.9 Uncoated SR04 Beadlock Wheels which will naturally start to show some rust soon.

Thoughts?

Another variation....I painted the SR02 wheels a steel tone (rear) vs the uncoated SR04 wheels (front)?

Of all the wheels you have had on this truck, I liked the grey Method 105s best.

Like someone said earlier. I think you should try out the rc4wd rally wheels. Maybe paint them to match.

SR02s painted white would be cool.... pretty common on older Chevy/GMC trucks...

Fairly close to what my old 65 had on it, lol

Agreed.

I like the SR04's as well but feel like the D holes are a little small due to the hub mounting area.

I recently got a TRX4 kit and been going around and round on what body to run. Didn’t want another Jeep, really wanted the K5 Blazer but was afraid it may be a little too large & top heavy for crawling. This thread and your work inspired me to order the 66 Chevy body.

I want to go old school, stock with it, on a set of white SR03’s. I love the blue, but may go with the green color scheme, not sure yet. Will for sure be the 2 tone scheme but probably won’t do the body molding down the side.

Awesome job, and thanks for sharing and inspiring!

Both Gmades look ok...but the SR04s would be nicer except as Calcagno45 said, D holes too small.

I like the SR02s with that body. Plain wagon wheels just don't look right to me. Wagon wheels are white or wooden.

The VR01’s look closest to factory wheels, IMO. That’s what I was going to order last night, but a quick search returned negative reports about beads popping out (in general) and TSL’s not mounting worth a darn. Based on that, I decided on the SR03. Rally wheels would look GOOOOD for sure.

You're right. The RC4WD rally wheels would look great on Bill's truck!

Bill the SSD white wagon wheels look pretty good on there as well. My editing skills are so-so and i did not have a full on straight pic, but you get the idea.

Bill, I am curious of your thoughts and recommendation those SSD bumpers. I just picked up a '73 bronco body for my new kit and want to use these bumpers, are they strong ? do they bend easy ?
I was thinking about buying the RC4WD bumper universal posts and making the actual bumpers out of some flat stock steel.
Could you take some measurements of them width, height and depth.

Just wondering if I should make them or just buy them, Thanks in advance.

Stock. The TRX shocks are great right out of the box.

I really like the SSD metal bumpers. They sure take a beating, but will bend with some force. So far they have been easy to hammer back straight! They are 190mm wide, 12mm high and 8mm deep. These SSD bumpers are too narrow for the Bronco body. Hopefully SSD will produce some OEM looking metal bumpers for the bronco.

Got out today with my TRX4 Chevy for a 5 1/2 hour crawl session up Mount Wells. The truck's reliability was perfect and it's performance was incredible. I put over/under drive diff gears in my Bronco (yet to be run still) and I feel the Chevy could use them as well, it will be just the icing on the cake for phenomenal performance on the technical rock crawls. I love being able to lock and unlock the gears on the fly when attempting extreme technical crawls....it just adds another dimension to crawling.
