Well, after servicing the entire trx4, and oiling every bearing , i took it out yesterday with the ascender, i drove the ascender and my son drove the landy, after about 20 minutes on the trail, the servo (non stock and with bec) stopped responding, i checked it out and the metal servo horn had become loose, no biggie, we continued but after 5 more minutes, the same thing happened, only this time the motor was hot, checked everything and found out my son had been driving in 2nd gear from the start, needless to say i let the car cool down, and of we went, but after 10 more minutes the car would slow down more and more , so i guess this is my first failure, motor is toast, not traxxas fault btw, just to much mud and water for the titan motor. Sorry for the rant.

Bah! A fail on the trail is a pita. My Titan was replaced at 44 Miles. The motor was still actually doing ok but the ESC was getting glitchy. I had a HW 1080 and Holmes Trailmaster 27t waiting. As for the servo horns I really like the clamping style ones. Much more secure. I think SSD do one? Am using a Axial one which is really a touch too short but nermind. :-)

Time for a Holmes Hobbies TrailMaster Sport 21t 550 motor, only $19.99!

I’d go for the 27t. Still plenty of top end and better crawl speeds. I run this on stock gearing. :-)

Love the Traxxas Land Rover body. If you like outdoor sport and camping, this is One of the best scale camper you could ever had.
