Default red 2 pin connector

Just got my first electric scale crawler. Took the lid off to investigate and decide what I'm going to keep and or modify as I'm hoping to get heavily into competitions. But being new to this side of the RC world I for the life of me can't figure out what the red 2 pin connector is for the sits beside the esc. I can't find a function for it and I looked over all the material that the truck came with can't find anything on what it's for. I almost think its for stealing power off the system for something else like lights or winch but I'm not sure. Anyone know?

It's for the power supply unit for the Traxxas lights. There may be other uses, but that is the one I have used it for.

it's a direct connect to the lipo i have hooked up my steering servo, my led bars and my roocklights over this connect. only thing is all have to be able to handle the voltage of the bat.

Are you sure? Did you use a meter to test the leads?

Pretty sure you can see it on a closer look how it is wired to the esc - together with the battery leads
Never measured it before, but you can mentioned it, that if you connect the battery it's direct powered.
Only for you natedog i have measured it - right now and yes direct lipo power. So 1000% sure now.
