| Re: Trx4 Tires I can't speak to the light bulb method, as I use a cheap toaster oven (picked up at a garage sale) and bake the tire/wheel set at around 325 minutes. 30 minutes on the timer usually does the trick; if not, wind up the timer again and the tires almost fall off. So far, I've found that it doesn't permanently damage the tires, wheels, or foams, so it's perfect if one wants to reuse any or all of those components. Place the wheels/tires on a metal baking tray or a few layers of aluminum foil. If you have a dual-element oven (top and bottom heaters), make sure not to use the top element or else you may end up with some broiled parts. While this method should work just fine in a regular kitchen oven, the CA glue releases some eye-watering vapors during the process. Single guys might be able to get away with this in their kitchen, but my wife would kick my ass if I attempted this in the house (and rightfully so!). |
