Thanks for the positive comments guys

I shoogooed the ring magnets last night and waited overnight for the shoegoo to cure. I think it will be successful. I will put some clear packing tape over the the shoogooed ring magnets so that the magnets don't glue themselves together while out on the trail.

I finally got around to fitting up the Vanquish light bar which is running directly off the 3s lipo. Bright is an understatement... I'm very impressed with the quality of light.

A new Hitec steering servo was installed and a new Castle waterproof BEC aswell.

I also installed the JK hardtop. After pondering whether or not I cut the hardtop to expose the interior details, I decided to go for it. I think it look pretty good.

Yes stock wheelbase. It works well with the Axial JK shell.

I am not sure why but I thought you were using the New Bright JK body.
I really like the magnet mount no more ugly body clips.

It look great.

Thanks mate. The Jeep body has made the Traxxas into a fantastic crawler. No more getting hung up on the stupid big bumpers and Defender body.

A little video I put together of my 8 year old son wheeling the Jeep at our local crawling spot.

The front bumper is a Wertymade Hogger bumper for the SCX10 II and it also fit perfect with no mods. I feel like this build went together way too easily because I really didn’t have a lot of trouble getting any of my choices to fit and perform well without a lot of creative thought. I guess that’s a good thing. Even the Promodeler servo fit right into the stock mount without any hassle due to the fact that it’s just a bit wider than most “standard” sized Servos.
@screamer - do you have link to build thread or more pics / info on using that body?

Great looking rig.

Your 1:1 is a 2.8 CRD? I have a 2006 Liberty(probably cherokee for you) 2.8 CRD and its been fun, but a challenge. Its a pretty finicky vehicle. I do have a custom built bigger turbo and self-tune it. I know the JK’s have a newer version of the 2.8.

Yep my JK has the 2.8 turbo diesel with the 5 speed auto. It's had a green diesel ecu remap which has really woken up the old girl and given it plenty of power to turn the 37's. I've also got the 4:1 Rubicon transfer case and 4.88 diff gears, so she crawls very nicely

I just installed a Tekin Roc412 brushless motor and Castle Creations ESC. The Jeep absolutely rips in high range now. It also crawls really well in low range. I should've done the upgrade years ago...

Anyway, here's a quick vid we put together of the weekends adventures. Filmed by my 10 year old daughter, staring my 12 year old son and his bomber and the TRX4.
