i changed stock with the silver progressive springs out of the hot racing hd rally tune spring Set for the savage xs (ssxs68mr14) i bought originally for my yeti icons. so basically you could use any spring with 13mm inner diameter and choose the length you like, these are 70mm.

I have complete spring rate lineups for Team Associated's older 1/10 trucks and buggies which are the same diameter. I'll have to play around with some different shock setups.

I wonder if changing up the piston in the rear would also help.

They have them, 4 optional rates. I seen them in the accessories section a couple weeks ago.
$6.00 a pair

Standard spring rates
no stripe .45
green stripe .54

Option spring rates
yellow stripe .22
white stripe .30
orange stripe .39
blue stripe .61

Xtraspeed body from a main and 295 wb I had to cut the roof in 3 pieces and throw out the middle piece and cut the body in half and add about 20 mm built the cage from 5/32 music wire
Have 1 that is almost identical for class 2 also

RC4WD ECSC in Pennsylvania was a large comp. Class 2 had 70 entries, I placed 14th. This was the first time the truck had run at any comp and while I have comped on the 2.2 Mod side for a long time, I had taken nearly 2 years off. Plus since I've done more mods and the truck keeps getting better. Locally it has done top 3 every time with mostly driver causing lower results. Comp event:

Bumper and winch also can see the MFR brass pieces and battery mount change:

For 2018 I'm keeping the truck as is for a trail and local comp truck as scale comps are just starting to get big here so I don't want to come in full Class 2 wild on the new guys. I am building a comp 2 full on build using TRX-4 axles and shocks, the rest will be custom or from some of the great scale vendors like Brazin HiLo Chassis, Dlux Hamberger Trans. It's a slow build but should get moving again after Xmas. Waiting on a few more parts to get it to a rolling phase. Recent image from a poor phone shot:

Test fitting the trans, made some changes and waiting on the new adapter plate:
I do like the idea of replacing the transmission but I'm concerned about how exposed the internals are in your picture. Is there a cover for this or do you feel it unnecessary for a comp rig?

So is there any new TRX comp builds out there?

Have run my TRX in c2 at 4 comps so far, and is quite pleased with the performance. But it needs to loose some weight. Got about 220g brass on the front axle and 140g on rear axle. I’ve got a light weight body and have shortend the WB to 320.

Now I’m looking for titanium links for 313 WB , and a lighter chassis.

My sport will eventually be a class 2 comp rig and maybe change tires to make it a class 1 rig.
Plan for interior and some other goodies to get as many points as possible.

Thanks! To confirm:

PARTS FOR TRX-4Rock Shield Winch Bumper for TRX-4 / SCX10 II

and this:

https://www.prolineracing.com/bodies...dy-cab-bed.asp

I notice the wheelbase for that body is not the 12.8 - did you have to make many adjustments to get it to fit like that?

I run a bronco based trx4 so the body fit fine. Had to order a locked lockedup rc front bumper mount to get the front bumper where I wanted it

Here's my Defender based rig after the most recent round of mods.
Brass bumper/servo mounts
Brass portal covers
Brass c hubs
Brass hexes
Brass link mounts
Castle 10a bec
25kg servo relocated and powered directly from bec to avoid burning out micro servos
ESC relocated
Proline Impulse beadlocks, dual stage foams, and Hyrax Predator Tires
She is going to her first comp this weekend. Got into scale crawling late in the season but will be all over it next year for sure.
