Trx4 C2 comp rig

Just bought an Trx4, and want to turn it in to a Class 2 comp rig.
My plans so far includes a new body and shorter wb. Future plans include a new chassis Brazin chassis and a single speed gearbox with overdrive.

Do any of you comp your trx? Need some inspiration."thumbsup"

I don't know why you'd take a truck and totally change it. Just start with similar truck to what you want, surely that's common sense. (Common sense Can be looked up in the dictionary)

Not nice to talk about someone's common sense. People mod things to improve or make it to their liking.

Thanks, it will be fun to try something new, and not do the safe Axial scx10.2 route like everybody else on my local comp scene.

Hi Des, My thoughts on what you want to do with your Trx-4. I like having the 2 speed available for some times needed wheel speed when ascending a rock climb. I did install a Hitec mini servo to handle the shifting duties. I have a Holmes 2700 stubby puller motor that is just right for this rig. (Just bought one for my ascender.) I used some JB Weld to lock my front diff and really like not having to worry about the servo breaking. For now I'm leaving the rear as is. I installed some modified 80mm traxxas bore shocks, they are built by Drav teck and I got them from Eric at Dlux Fab, very very smooth shock. With this set-up I won the old farts class at the RPP Jamboree trail run. Just a couple thoughts for you to ponder. I as able to hit lines that some of the trucks I was following couldn't make. "thumbsup"

Got the Dravtech shocks on my C3 rig. They are really nice. Have you made an internal shock limiter to get 80mm?

Yes, spacers below the shock piston.

Medium springs? Need to order some new springs for my C3. The medium springs was a touch on the soft side. Might use the medium on the trx.

I ordered the firm springs, and they are just about perfect. ;-)

What wb are you running on your comp Trx4? Picked up a proline commanche body at my lhs, and thinking of using the standard 313wb. But on second thought i might go for a little longer. I'm using 5347 rod ends.
