Hobbywing 1080

Did anyone running the hobbywing 1080 have issues calibrating it?I picked one up for my trx4 Ive done as the instructions say turn on remote press and hold set button while pushing the power button i leave it in the neutral position press set and that seems to be as far as i can calibrate it. When i turn it back off and on the led just flashes constantly. I posted this in electonics but i figured i would post here as well hopefully im not coming across as too spammy just figured id try here as well since its going into a trx4

Informational Checklist:
Radio & receiver? (stock or orherwise?) ? ? ?
What Fully charged battery are you using? (? Voltage 7.4 or 11.1?)? ?
Did you have to rebind the radio??? - confirm signal goose. I repeat- confirm signal.
Did the esc not work properly out of the box?
Oh, and the most important question is............ pause........pause..... what color is the truck???

I dont recall having to do 1080 calibration on my trx running 7.4v and a hacked gt3c... silver (dark grey)

Can you reset factory defaults wth the included card?

I just recieved it today finally and this was going to be the initial test run
