TRX 4 Body Bashing, The cutting has begun... I've been studying this mod for awhile, decided to go for it. I love the look and have a couple different ideas to share. Re: TRX 4 Body Bashing, The cutting has begun... A couple of things about this body bash... The back window/roof piece is a very strong structure. I felt that I would eliminate the top windows if I couldn't figure how to shorten the windows and have both ends with a radius. I didn't come up with a way to do that. The deeper bed should have a bit of the power wagon look to it. I like that look. The side rails should accent that look. Roof rack is gonzo...Lose the weight is the motto on that. Re: TRX 4 Body Bashing, The cutting has begun... I'm open to hear any tips on how others bend the tabs. It's fairly thick lexan, takes quite a bit of heat to bend. Read someone used a lighter. How? Burnt my fingers is all I accomplished. I went with my airplane covering iron. Turned all the way up... Pretty sketchy result, lots of wrinkles in the tabs. Kept it fairly neat, five pieces of screen, five applications, in order to let it setup while laying flat so it doesn't run or drip. Used contact adhesive left over from the clothes dryer seal to fold it over the edges. Mean stuff, works amazing. Scale looking enough material for a tonneau cover I think.
