Default Desmo's take on the Trx4

Bought my self a Trx4 and I'm thinking of using it as my Class 2 comp rig. My first mods is a lighter body, shorther wb, new battery tray and I will add some brass knuckles and C hub. Gonna try out some Dravtech shocks I have lying around. Just need to order some stiffer springs.

The long term plan is a lighter chassis and gearbox.

I'm looking for a mount for servowinch. Have seen some 3d printed ones, but can't find a them again. Is there anyone that can give me a hint in the right direction?

Couple of options on Shapeways:

Honestly I like this one about the best:

The stock esc died on me. Got five minutes of driving. The blinking red light on the esc and almost no power.

Did you try to reprogram it to you TX? Might be worth a try.
Or time for a 1080!

Waiting for my bowhouse servomount from shapeways. Will use a heyok servowinch for now, and see if it's strong enough.

Now I'm looking for a low profile front bumper for the Trx4. Want the bumper to sit as close as possible. Any suggestions? I've had a Yeah racing winch bumper for a scx10, but the framerails on the Trx4 a wider so it won't fit.

Changed the stock esc to a Hobbywing 1080, but still have problems with the powerdelivery. I used 3S battery with a 75c discharge. Changed the battery out with a 40c discharge and the car went back to normal power again. Seems like the problem is the traxxas 550 motor.
