Dude that H1 body is SICK!!! Just can’t imagine spending more on a body than I did the truck, but I’m glad there are people who do! Looks incredible!!!

You need some mil-spec wheels for that Hum-vee - go cheap with Traxxas Tactical plastic wheels, or go high-dollar with RC4WD, GearHead, or LockedUpRC wheels...

It looks fantastic, though - I think it might look even better running a narrower wheel and tire set to tuck up under that body.

And PLEASE post pics of your Iceland expedition!

Love those Arctic trucks!

I guess you didn't check this post before writing this..? hehe ;)
That said, now I have such a bunch of wheels, so I'm trying not to commit or search for new wheels this season.. I'll try to keep telling myself that, but I really love a couple of the examples you show here and I got a search saved on both eBay and another page, but for now I've managed to not buy them.. But who knows what the summer will bring.. :p

Keep in mind that the tires wasn't glued to the rims since I got new beadlocks on the way that I hope will fit with this body..
I know they wont look as good as these ones(quite honestly I really love the look of the tactical rims with this body), but I think I'll hold back on buying even more beadlocks the coming weeks..
Ehm, I can't promise that last note will hold for long, but I'll at least give it a try..
Yeah, I mentioned pictures.. Here goes!!

Haha, thanks rattmobbins!
I know, and I totally agree with you.. But I got bitten so hard by this TRX-4 that I just have accepted that there is one big black hole in the economy that's called RC now.. I mean, I got food on the table for the family and we do live at a standard that we are comfortable with.. And since I dont have any loans I guess it's ok..
Not that I feel the need to defend it to y'all, but thats just my line of thoughts on the subject..

PS: And I do not do other drugs or alcohol, RC and photo is my drugs.. next to my wife to be in less than a month now(in case she reads this)..

I wonder.. Why cant we just skip to 2020 right now? 2019 for sure is going to be the year to forget..
I was out taking photos and filmed a little on wednesday, I transfered everything to the computer and today I was going to sit down to edit and enjoy the process.. But when I'm trying to open my pictures on the pc, the harddrive with ALL my photos from 4 years back in time is dead.. Doesn't post in bios or anything, completely dead..!
As far as the media from wednesday counts, I haven't written over the SD-card on the camera, so I was able to recreate that and this is a little video I put together. Pictures are coming later.

So what do you think of the wheels, leave a comment on your thoughts..

Commented on your video - like the looks of the first set the most for that body - definitely!

Here are some photos of the wheels featured in the video.. First set is the Tactical plastic rims with Proline Hyrax glued onto them.

Then there's a five spoke beadlock wearing the Pitbull Rock Beast

I'm sorry I didn't get a picture straight from the side of this one..

Then it's the same rim, only in alu finish, with Pitbull Rock Beast XOR

And the last set I got pictures of is some beadlocks with 8 holes in it with the Proline Super Swamper

Finally I got some pictures of some of the stuff I was using today, plus some rims and sets I wont be paying too much attention to in the nearest future..
But hey, there are some wheels here..

The controller with the printed steeringwheel, I love the way it turned out

For the looks I'm kind of on the same page as you.. I'm torn between the tactical and the black five spoke..
I dont have the newest compound on those Hyraxes btw, so they doesn't perform nearly as good as the Super Swampers that are made of the newest compound, there's a HUGE difference there.
Also both the Pitbull tires are the newest compounds and grip much better than the Hyrax.
And thats not just based of todays performance, that was something I found out last year while the hyrax' was mounted on beadlocks as well..

So since I've said that I will not use loads of money on heavier options of the tactical-looking wheels, I guess the black five spokes are going to be my go-to set with this body mounted..

That's understandable. Nice collection of wheels and tires - someone else obsessed with tread patterns and rubber compounds!

Hehe, I like to explore and try things myself..
And I love the smell when I open a new set of tires.. fresh rubber both smells and feels so good

I like the last set, but they'd look better in dark gray or black. The swampers just look perfect with that killer body though IMO.

I agree, at least on the threads on the swampers. Maybe I'll have to check if those rims exist in other colors..

I like a little splash of metallic in almost everything but I really think that black wheels look most appropriate under this rig. The military type I thought looked best out of everything. Something about black and tan that just works... especially with this body style. All that being said lol... I'll bet the bronze SSD Assassin's would look killer on that rig! Looking good regardless. Cheers!

No pictures yet.. but I have to tell, a 10 hour trip turned into 16 hours because of a wild storm that hit Iceland from nowhere. All the mountain roads was closed when we were about to return, so we had to find an alternative route back to Reykjavik.
Oh my, did I have fun!! I want to move to Iceland now!

This is going to be a bit off-topic as you know, but still it's a very on-topic theme of this, since I've been crawling, river-crossing, trailing+++ with this 1:1 Arctic Truck on Iceland.
I even got to see a couple Defenders on the trip, but got to take pictures of only two of them..
So here's the picturebonanza
Lets start with the line-up! Here we are having a stop by the Geysir and it's hot water-spitting friends..

This is the lead-car driven by the guide.

This thing is massive!!

And here is "my car", a 2019 Land Cruiser with the full luxury package as they call it. A very very nice car to drive.

I struck a pose in front of some 8x8 buses built on chassis from MAN.

Even mini-bus can be cool on Iceland.. If you see the little white one next to the leading bus here, that is the same mini-bus as the arctic truck ones.. Hahaha, that poor little thing..

On the same parking spot I found this one, I love it!

And at last but not least, a big ass american Ford

On our way out to the wilderness

As I told you before, it got a little windy, so the line of sight was some times very good

But 3 seconds later it was all crap..

Just cruisin'
