Ohhh I thought you were swapping out the defender axles... I see you're looking at a Sport though! They're pretty sweet for the money

Throwing some paint on the Raptor..
The result is nearly as catastrophic as the Defender v2.0..

Since Xtra Speed doesnt ship any grill for this body I had to make my own..
Pretty spot on on the first try, pretty pleased with that

Thank you, I actually like it myself also. Again, I had no plan with what color to choose.
And the grill turned out great, pretty much satisfied with my own work on that one

Raptor is lookin good! Just got another 79 ford supercab body in mail today. Think im goina paint the under side rust color n the outside im thinkin silver base n maybe a blue over that. So ita give it a weathered/scratched look

That sounds like an awesome paintjob, I really wish I had some skills in that appartment..

BTW: Sorry for not holding my promises here. I got a pink eye the last week so I didn't feel like beeing too much out in the sun..
And "unfortunately" some kind of distraction arrived in the mail the other day.. So I had to disassemble and rebuild a PC.. And man, this feels good!
I've allready sold the old guts tho', really didn't think there was a market for old pc-stuff, I was wrong.. again..
Now look at this!! I'm going strong from now on!
This is from the box.. Nice!!

I went for Intel, again..

Since I love my old cabinet and the PSU still going strong I reused those and all the drives. And BOY do that NVMe disc read and write.. :o (doesn't show in the picture tho', since it's hidden under a cover and the GPU.

I will I will, I just have to get myself a sport first.. :p
I dont want to replace the TFL-axles I'm using now on the long chassis, so I'm trying to wait to see if a used one appears on the market, if not I'm thinking of wich color I want or if I want to go for the clear kit-version..
So it might be some time before these axles is taken to use.. Sorry..

Building PC's is nothing compared to RC, there is no movement and stuff that can go wrong.. If the parts dont fit, then it's the wrong part.. :p
On RCs I'm terrified to make errors because a lot of things looks like they can be mounted several places.. So yeah.. :p

True, u cant wedge a hard drive where it dont belong lol. But figurin out wat goes where or moddin a part to go where it wasnt made for is half the fun. Saturday i cut out 4 plate from carbon fiber n shaped them to fit so i could move the rear upper links up to fit a bigger motor in my m/t build

Ooooh, that sort of things is also something I love to do, but I just done have the space for it where I live now.
But yeah, in the distant future I hope I can get a little workshop where I can do all kind of stuff, even like this..

No work shop here lol. I dun that on the front porch with a dremel, some cut-off wheels, sanding wheel for dremel, silver paint pen n the part i was makin the plates for. Man is that a dirty job. If u ever cut or sand carbon fiber, make sure youre outside cause its dirty n nasty to work with
