So, my local hobby store just confirmed they got both red and blue Sports on stock..

Since they dont get the kit before end of june I dont think I can wait that long, and since there isn't any used ones on the market either, I guess the choise stands between red and blue..

So, Red or Blue?

Hard to choose. To me, the blue is a bit to dark n the red is a tad to brite lol. Seems alot have gone with the blue though

I was thinking red all the time before I painted the Raptor red, but since I now got a red Raptor I'm leaning towards the blue one..

I had to look at them again lol. Think i like the blue a lil better jmo. Im wantin the bronco, the sport kit, n i kinda like the blazer (comin from a ford guy lol)

Haha, you're almost like me.. I would love the Blazer, and I would love the G500 and I would most of all have the Kit-version of the sport..
But since I allready got the long wheelbase and I want a ride without the diff locks and two speed tranny, then it'll have to be the sport..
So I'm gonna go for the blue one I guess..

Here I am just about started to mask it off..

But I dont think it turned out too shabby..

Actually pretty pleased with the color

I'm not sure about what I'm going to do with the grill..
I want it black for sure, but I dont know if I want the FORD lettering in chrome or maybe red, and the frame arount the grill the same.. Black/red/chrome..?

Coz' now I guess I got what I need for the Sport..

Unpacked.. (Not the car itself tho', I've decided not to open the packaging on it before I've finished the Raptor body completely..)

I'm going for the same ESC as on the first chassis, Mamba X FTW!

I am also using the same type motor as on the first one, 2280KV sensored motor from Castle.

The only "wildcard" is the Servo. But a friend of mine says that this Servo is very good, so I'll try this one..

And at last, the axle housings.

They get two pictures.. ;)


I also got a few other goodies, like the castle BEC if I find that useful, alu horn with 25T, some wires and other misc. stuff needed.. So, yeah.. Maybe I need to check out on some new bodies, since the ones I got just fit the long wheelbase.. But that's a later chapter!! I guess..

I just had to finish this one.. It's as far from perfect as can be, but at least it's done!
And counting in that this is my first ever finished hardbody I cant really be too bummed about it..

I might buy another one to try to avoid some of the mistakes I've done to this one tho', time will tell..
