Yeah, thats true..!
Here is some of the wheels and tires I've bought the last month or so..

I actually regret buying the shiny beadlocks, coz' I love the look on those Duratrax-wheels. But hey, I got a clear body lying here waiting for a paintjob(and maybe I'll chop that one as well?), and maybe that body will fit with the lighter color on the wheels? I just have to find out what look I'm going for with that one. I have written with an italian(I think) on facebook about some 3D-printed parts for the crew-cab that makes it look more real, so I might go for another chop.

BTW: Here's the TFL axle housings and the weight-difference from the original ones.
In the box:

The weight of the original plastic front-housing

And the aluminium front-housing

The rear original housing

And the TFL housing for the rear axle

(the weight-images isn't mine, they belong to a buddy of mine, but we got the same housings and I guess he wont be angry for sharing his pics)

Aluminium deflector, is that the protection under the housing?
It sure will help for not getting stuck with the sharp edge on the housing itself.

Have you run the Duratrax Scaler tires yet? I've always thought those looked very nice for the money...

I've tried them once. And that was a bad experience. But i drove them in sand/gravel and they got packed really fast. But they feel sticky so they might do great on harder Surface.

A little picturebonanza from todays testrun
I had to take it out just to check that the transmission, differentials and portals still worked after I've pulled them to pieces several times the last weeks..
Sorry that some pictures are almost identical, I just couldn't choose between them.. ;)

I'm trying to not add "a million" pictures each post, so I'll post them over several posts..

It does flex.. ;)

Just a quick recap on where it is now vs how it came from the previous owner..
I was afraid that it wasnt any big difference.. But I'm happy about the result so far, and there's still more to come on this body!

Axles look great. Did you notice any benefits apart from the cool factor?

I am far from finished with this body, but still I got a clear lexan body that I'm trying to figure out what to do with..
Actually I am thinking of making another crew cab, but this time do it over some time, not feeling the rush to get finished so I can go out and drive it. Coz' now I got a driveable body, then I can do both things, build and drive
If I'm going to do another crew cab I think I'll try out a set of these 3D-printed parts to get the backwall of the cab right..

That would make me do another outside paintjob, but actually I think the outside paint that gets scratched looks better than the ones painted on the inside. You may call me a weirdo, but thats just my thougts on that..

Thanks for kind words, Skrotiz.
Yeah I've been looking at a set of belts, but I'm not going to drive it alot in deep snow I guess, so that's not on the priority-list.
Where in Sweden are you located?

These tracks come from a Kyosho Blizzard (snocat) and the rest is designed and 3D printed by me.
It's really fun to drive through deep snow where wheels wouldn't have a chance.
The tracks are 9cm (~3,5") wide so they carry the car over the snow far better than available sets I've seen for sale.
I live outside Umeć, at the eastcoast just about the same height as Trondheim.
Where in Norway do you live?

Aha, I've been in Umeć several times. I mean, I've been driving trucks(24m) in my early days. I'm originally from Trondheim but now I live in Hamar, 3hrs from Karlstad.

A tiny update here.
Here you can see the vents on the hood, the fuel cap and the beadlocks with the ProLine Hyrax tires.

Here's from the side, here you can see the new back bumper as well. I wasnt happy about how that one looked out of the box.
But after I got to cutting it a bit I think it got a tight beautiful fit, and now I actually like it alot!

Another from behind(thats what she said..)..
