SiCkPuPPy's TRX-garage. Hello guys and gals :) I'm new to the forum and also new to crawling. But since I bought a trx-4 second hand some time ago I've fallen for this hobby. Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. Lets take a look at how it looked like when I bought it: https://i.imgur.com/nanIvDq.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Y86OowD.jpg And here's my first mod.. The license plate ;) It's my initials and my day of birth.. Thought it could be cool :) https://i.imgur.com/luXyz2W.jpg |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. This is the latest pictures I got of it.. https://i.imgur.com/hCzXstw.jpg https://i.imgur.com/3ewMg7l.jpg https://i.imgur.com/825xRcp.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ZRUnk1K.jpg https://i.imgur.com/LJ8iKeM.jpg https://i.imgur.com/nNM0ybq.jpg https://i.imgur.com/xHEWjLA.jpg https://i.imgur.com/CoYDoJQ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/8ij2HVa.jpg Since this ride I've pulled the whole car apart.. The body is painted, some windows has gotten "cleared out", and I'm working on modifying the body quite a bit.. Also got the big light kit but haven't mounted it yet. Yeah, and the most important update is that during christmas I fitted the TFL aluminium axle housing. I just love the look of those and are really looking forward to give them a real beating :) |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. I've also made a couple newbie youtube-clips of the trx-4.. :) This one is from my first run with it, I crawled a bit on some fire ruins behind my house.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Agh6mLJ8TE In this one I got out on a trail having some fun on my own.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjdHsqehL-I Just another film.. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wz9iYURHhsg And here you can see the reason why I suddenly decided to rip apart the trx and redo some of it.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqCDI5EqlkA I know I could've just refitted the things that have fallen off during my runs, but I want it to be MINE build, so now I'm going for a new look.. :) |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. Nice photos of your TRX. :) |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. Thank you Dennan :) |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. I got these exploded drawings from TFL today, I did miss some documentation on the axle housings when they arrived, but now there is finally some documentation on them :) https://i.imgur.com/OR0jIY6.png https://i.imgur.com/oP6QEzj.png |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. It's getting closer to driveable.. Reeeally looking forward to get it out again soon! It's not gonna happen this weekend, since there is birthdays to celebrate and stuff like that. But maybe the next one? Thats the goal! https://i.imgur.com/sZG5AnU.jpg |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. Oh, I haven't been this close to finished since I bought the truck..! :D A few pics to show the standings.. https://i.imgur.com/dQNtmTm.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Z2msgHk.jpg https://i.imgur.com/LOhMQP4.jpg https://i.imgur.com/mrXaA2l.jpg https://i.imgur.com/yVDbs7L.jpg |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. I didn't get to drive it today, partly because it's still -22 celsius outside, but also because when I'm home from work it's allready dark outside.. Hoping for better temperatures for the weekend. :) But I did take a few pictures outside today, I think it looks better in natural light than indoor.. Agree? https://i.imgur.com/mVQSmMa.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Z90CB6D.jpg I love the looks of those TFL-axle housings.. https://i.imgur.com/hOzYzh2.jpg https://i.imgur.com/4tWvUtF.jpg https://i.imgur.com/yOLARbz.jpg I'm pretty happy about the roof rack-idea on the back wall of the cab :D https://i.imgur.com/yexENtk.jpg https://i.imgur.com/VDcHblL.jpg |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. Really nicely done, my man! Diff covers, front bumper, lights, cage around back window and the tube around the bed area - all those definitely stand out... Perfect wheel/tire size for the TRX-4, IMHO. |

Allthough I have to arrest you [emoji6] It's not diff covers, it's complete axlehousings with diff house, portal housings, c-joints and axle house, all made of aluminium Sent fra min SM-G955F via Tapatalk |

Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. Great looking rig sickpuppy. Love the pictures. Its very easy to start getting carried away with this hobby for sure. Looks like your off to a really good start into our hobby, welcome aboard. |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. Those TFL axle housings are attractive and I have looked at them on ebay but I just can't justify the cost. |

Allthough, I had to "man up" a few weeks before I dared to do the job with changing to them. But hey, now I know how to do that too :) |

Yeah, I'm pretty easy to get caught up in things like this. Allthough I've had a couple RC's before (Savage XL and Vorza), none of them has made an impact the same way as the trx have done. :) So now I got lots of differens wheels and tires, I got more spares than I'll ever need, I receive boxes from all around the world on almost daily basis.. So I should've been parted from my eBay-account for some time.. :D But I really love the trx-4 and I hope that's an affair that will last several years :) |
