Trail truck to me is stock almost. Yes it's modified but honestly it does great. Top 1-2 locally with the Trail truck so far, and 14th out of 70 in class 2 at ECSC. It does dang good with minimal changes.

With Traxxas offering up these two parts, my gut feeling is that they will be offering up a single speed fully locked rig some time this year.

Anyone else have thoughts on this ?

I feel I could at least justify removing all of these parts to use as spares for my main TRX-4.

Has anyone done a stripped down to basics TRX-4 build? I've seen a lot of people removing 1 or 2 of these items but i'm not sure if anyone's taken this to the extreme.

EDIT: $39.99 for the hollow ball set, holy moly
I'm working my way to that.

Prototype FI spools going in this week.
Prototype #1 for the single speed already went in and is being refined.

I think you guys will like what we end up with.

Awesome news, will you include/sell plugs too?

Thinking I might have to 3d print some, but figured I should ask first before modeling them.

Just looked at the link to the spool on rpp, 10$ for the spool and nearly 18$ shipping....

Why is shipping so expensive? I know I live on a tiny island but seems a trifle extreme for standard airmail service.

@ Locked up, will this be available soon with the cable bung? If so how much does shipping cost to the uk for one of the spools? Also how much are they gonna be?

Thanks, Gaz.

I was just posting a part to a friend and was in line forever and saw the US Postal prices for foreign shipments. Not going to lie, $18 was cheaper than any rate the Post Office had listed.

Might be worth putting a few bits into the basket then to make most of the postal cost or hang fire and see what locked up Rc looks like....

Just wait for amainhobbies or rcmart. Their shipping is a lot cheaper.

A dab of E6000 will plug the difflock cable holes and can be removed later if you want.
