First Mod I did was the SSD bumpers front and rear and spare tire delete. I Flipped the rear bumper for even more angle.

Next up I Swapped out the stock steering servo for a Savox 0231MG I yanked out of my Yeti until my Holmes order came in. Threw in a Castle BEC and wired up the Deans connector. I mounted the inner fenders to the chassis as well using body screws. I chose to screw it to the frame instead of the zip tie method. I cut out the screw mounts for the fender flares but should have just cut off the whole section. DUH.

Also I should add that my Traxxas receiver went in the garbage after one day. It refused to stay bound to the radio so I put a Spektrum 4ch in until I could decide between a DX8 stick radio or a Dx5c. I chose the Dx5c because I MAY want AVC for my other rigs at some point.

Oh HELL yeah!! Holmes Order came in.. But. Something. Is. Missing. They forgot to ship my Hv500v2 servo =( Holmes Hobbies customer support is top notch. On a friday night, within 50 mins I had a tracking number in my email for the forgotten servo!

With the Holmes goodies dropped in, I decided while I was at it I'd swap out the transmission servo with the stock steering servo. Took a little more effort than it looks but it works great and gives you a spare diff locker servo.

Quick clip of trailing with the TRX4 with some Proline Sand Paws on Axial beadlocks.

I was looking for something a little different body-wise for my TRX4 and decided to go with a Proline 4runner.....with a twist.

Axial Honcho cage

Knight Customs grille

Shortened the wheelbase with the Incision 12.3in stainless link kit. Had to dremel off a bit of the rear drive shaft unfortunately

Had to relocate the battery as well so i ordered a Hot Racing Battery relocation kit.

NOTE: it ain't cheap and make sure your LiPo's will fit between your body mounts before dropping 80 bucks CDN on it.

Not ideal but it works.

Quick solution to raise the rock sliders since the body sits high on the honcho cage... Nylon tubing.

Finally got the body finished and the Samix brass in. Decided to ditch the Knight Customs grille for fittment reasons. So I cut a new body.
FYI I had to remove the calipers off the Samix disc brakes becuse the Gmade NR-01's rubbed on them.

NICE

How’s the battery relocate kit work out? Too much weight up too high?

I didn't get to do a lot of technical crawling where I went. Mostly water and snow, but The good thing is the battery stayed out of the water for the most part. It didn't feel too tippy on the trails. I rolled it twice but that was because the truck isn't made for high speed cornering

Also, i'm sure it will be even less of an issue with a smaller battery. My 3s Hardcase is massive.

Wow, great use of the 4 runner body, it fits that chassis width and length perfectly. . Love the paint and chopped roof.
