Newb to RC trx4

Hello everyone,

I'll keep this short. I am new to rc and i want to pick up the new trx4. Could anyone recommend a website with competitively priced batteries, chargers etc..

I would recommend a local shop aswell, even if it's a bit away.
The TRX-4 is an awesome choice, been in this hobby for over 20years and this rig is one of the most fun vehicles I have owned and driven.

Also, i will be purchasing my trx4 from my LHS because the price is better then online but their battery option is limited.

Check out Wildside Hobby LTD - Wildside Hobby they have great prices, fast shipping (free over $150) and can get a ton of parts including VP, Crawler Innovations, and more!

Your LHS should be able to supply you with a hardcase 2S lipo, I drive mine with a 2S 5200mah hardcase and it works great.
Get around 1hr drive on that battery and enough power and speed.

You can also look for batteries from pmhobbycraft.com they also have a store in Calgary and a large staffed RC department that can answer any questions you have as well as get you a battery/charger they may not have listed. I went with the dual EZ peak charger with 2 x 3s 5000Mah batteries. I didn't know anything about Lipo's and I'm glad I went with what I did even thoigh it cost alittle extra....plus it's got a storage function which takes all the guess work out of the batteries.....where you from in Canada? Only reason I ask is I'm always trying to get locals together.

thats not much runtime out of 5200 mAh
i get aprox 2h out of 2700mAh - ok 3s
have to check this with my 2s lipos but that sounds really short to me

i use zippy compact or turnigy softpack high C lipos from HK good price, quality and easy to get here in germany

So all i would have to do is solder an xt60 connector to the power supply and the trx4?

Just solder 1 male adapter to the ESC for the battery to connect. It's up to you if you want to install them on the motor wires or not. Female plugs deliver power (ex. battery). $3 for 5 pair: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/nylon-xt...s-genuine.html
