Re: Jato Got a Bronco I’ve had mine since last August and the out of the box performance was impressive, I’ve since installed brass portal covers, ottsix KLRs, trimmed some weight off the body by removing most of the add on’s And made a low CG battery tray - it’s significantly better and those where pretty much nothing mods.... I suspect that traxxas had a really good chassis/suspension engineer working on this one, the geometry seems to really keep the axles well planted and digging the tires into the ground. Damn traxxas for coming out with a Ford body option, I’m a major ford guy so i’ll Have to buy a second one now! |
Re: Jato Got a Bronco Quote:
Traxxas has great engineers. That's what a lot of people don't understand. The Revo, for example, was ground breaking when it came out. Traxxas has the money and the people to R&D awesome new products. They just don't release new models often. |

Re: Jato Got a Bronco I have a set of Pit Bull Rock Beast XOR which are 4.55 diameter that I plan to fit on my Bronco when I finally purchase one. |
Re: Jato Got a Bronco Quote:
I have them mounted and I could put them on my Bronco just to show how they fit. |

Re: Jato Got a Bronco  Jato the bronco is looking SWEET man! and i never realized GCM makes a 1.9 beadlock that looks so close to those wheels. i love the stock traxxas ones, and wondering how a set of rc4wd dirt grabbers would look mounted up to them... i cant wait to see what you do next on this bronco! traxxas knocked this body out of the park! |
Re: Jato Got a Bronco Look up the tray on page 10 of Sammyha’s thread on here, can’t figure out how to link from my iPad, plus I’m tired from being 6 time zones away from home lol! |

Not meaning to hijack your thread Jato, just know that this was a topic here before. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7999f245cf.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...eef81a29de.jpg Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |
Re: Jato Got a Bronco I think the standard RBs look just as good. I think you can play with ride height just a tad and make them look even better. |

Re: Jato Got a Bronco Soze how did you acquire such a valueable coup?! If I could pull the same thing off with the UDR I’d feel a lot better about the price tag. Congrats on the purchase dude! Jato a kit ain’t a bad idea either. Hmm. |

Re: Jato Got a Bronco I printed myself a license plate. I like that it has a double meaning - Leaf Spring Mafia, of course, but also LS, like the Chevy engine, to piss off the Ford fans. :lmao: https://farm1.staticflickr.com/801/4...71a319d8_b.jpg I added the SSD black rear hubs. I'm not sure if I like them. They remind me of the stock, black rear hubs on the heavier duty truck. But I might switch to silver or raw aluminum. The black hubs will stay for now. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/821/4...fd964231_b.jpg https://farm1.staticflickr.com/800/4...9456ed83_b.jpg https://farm1.staticflickr.com/811/4...17ebbf2d_b.jpg |
Re: Jato Got a Bronco Great thread. also I just bought one too! |
Re: Jato Got a Bronco has anyone painted the stripe black on the chrome trim piece? that would look much better and correct to the 1:1. tires made a huge difference jato, looking great! |
Re: Jato Got a Bronco Quote:
I got a couple of those in the last 6 months, “As long as I use the app!” The code only worked once each. Last one was a flat 15.00 off a $75.00 purchase, score !!!! Hang up and Drive |
Re: Jato Got a Bronco Quote:
Thanks! "thumbsup" |
Re: Jato Got a Bronco I never remembered the stock rear hubs having red centers. Apparently they did so the stock Traxxas hubs aren't too far off. I didn't like the black rear hubs so I changed them to red. Much better. "thumbsup" http://dealeraccelerate-all.s3.amazo...c3_low_res.jpg https://farm1.staticflickr.com/819/2...ebaaca5e_b.jpg |
Re: Jato Got a Bronco I didnt think so either but then I found a pic of my old '96. Sho 'nuf, red rear hub covers. The wheels on my '96 are the same as on the TRX-4. They were an option in '96, but I dont think that style wheel existed in '78... https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/8...922/nWXL6V.jpg |

Re: Jato Got a Bronco Quote:
Fairly sure these are newer models wheels. Difference is the rivets. My dad had these on his 94 F-150 |

Re: Jato Got a Bronco Quote:
While I will admit, they are close. But, as mentioned, the rivets added and a slightly different chrome was updated for the 90's vehicles. Either way, still looks good. Back in the day, I usually saw just the wagon wheels or mags. |
