| Lights for your Bronco?
Sooo.. I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out how I'm gonna light this thing up. Most specifically, the headlamps. All the other "lights" on the body have clips built-in for 3mm & 5mm LED's (see pics), but the headlamp has a wierd slot that couldn't possibly hold a bulb.(last pic) I could cut the headlight out of the lexan, and house the LED in a bucket, but there's mounting hardware for the grill, etc that's a bit in the way.. I know Traxxas has a light kit for the Defender, but I can verify that it's incompatible with the Bronco body ( even though it's listed as an optional part for this kit) I'm sure Traxxas will come out with a kit, but I like wiring up my own.. so any help on that headlamp issue is appreciated. Well with the way traxxas does things I’m sure that only specific light kits for that thing will work but that’s just traxxas being traxxas making sure that no other part is compatible with your truck if it’s not specifically designed for it. Maybe check ebay that’s where I got my light kit on my trx4 it was for the defender but maybe there is a bronco light. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by THX_138; 03-25-2018 at 10:42 PM. |

And again, I'm not really looking for a pre-fabbed light-kit. I'm going to wire my own, but I want to do the headlamps without ruining the body... Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk | |

Contact MyTrickRC I'm pretty sure they can come up with something for the Bronco body. As for the headlight inner structure, that slot looks too low to be for the headlight. Maybe just needs to have a 5mm hole drilled behind the headlight lens.

Thanks for the input guys. I think I'm gonna pull everything apart and look where I can start cutting...

I made my own from a cheap 4.5v warm white LED-strip. Just cut one of the LED’s from the strip. There are always marks where that should be done. Solder on a wire, hey presto! Flat lights. Those strips usually have a self-adhesive backing, so that can be used to stick it into the flat light-bucket.

MyTrick RC sells overpriced, low quality 3D printed pieces to attach lights. Look elsewhere...
